This is going to sound very wired, but its a true story to why i like photography now!
When i was 16, this local internet cafe was opened, in cafe they had a separate area for computer games, i got hooked on a game called counter strike source, played that all summer from 9am to 7pm at £10 a day or week pass for £30 and they guy saw me come in that much he ended up letting me on free
So anyway i found out i could play this game out home for free, after learning about computers, building then, gaming systems i then went to play at LAN parts around the UK (any multiplay) members here

i built my own machine and got hooked into computers!
College was now about to began, i new what i wanted to do (ICT) So i did 2 years in IT and at night, did 2 hours a week learning about web design.
I did not really enjoy any of the course, i did not get to build computers etc... but while on the course, i got hooked onto Imovie and Apple computers, so i then went on to do media, which was all film based apart from 2 hours every week, where we would get to do photography, i loved using the Macs and photoshop and all the cool things you could do...
I dropped out of media, and tried to move into a photography course, i was not allowed i was to late, so i had to wait a whole year! i was then allowed to join a photography course the BTEC national, now i was still liking all the Photoshop stuff, but it it took two people, a neighbor who used to play football with and a friend who i met during the course to spark my flare and love of photography..
We are 2 weeks into the photography course and by chance my neighbor asks me to come help him move furniture, i spot his Canon350D (did not know that then) and asked if i could have a play, i sat in his garden for a good hour, playing about with auto mode! stunned how i took a picture of a flower and the background was blurry (terminology at the time) or how i made thinks darker or lighter with shutter speeds, he said you can borrow it if you like....i felt so good that i was using a pro camera
While at college, i met Phil (he is on this forum now

) who showed me some stunning images of buildings/trains/planes abounded and lit up with light (light painting) he took me to an abounded airfield where he would teach me the fundamentals of the camera, aperture, ISO, Shutters speed etc...
I then went on to create on of my fav sets on my flcikr...
My flare just grew and grew and asking questions on here, etc has taught me what i know now..
i am planning to continue into University, and what a journey that has been
