Yeah, come on guys, tomorrow you can start taking your POTY 14 pics! Let's have LOTSA film entries each month this year! It's easier to get judges points, so that sinking feeling if you get "nul points" is less likely. And as Steve says, there's some great landscape togs here, in fact some great togs in general.
(Am I allowed to use "togs" in F&C???? Well heck, guess I'm old enough to do what I like)

H'mm digital guys can set their cameras up for sharpening, colours\balance (and whatever else digital cameras can do) before taking shots..while film users can do no PP not even for spots? So it would be lab work and who is to say they don't do PP to correct scanning problems?....Ok maybe I've read Darren's post 312 incorrectly![]()
If you read the new rules you film users CAN remove spots post scan EVEN in a no PP month (but you must be prepared to send in the pre PPd version too). Everyone, please read the new rules there have been changes.

Now please don't take this the wrong way and I'm really not trying to cause trouble but why if I cross process film is that regarded as post processing?
Is there a separate thread to post them to?
Steve.

You may chose either to take an image that fits with the following theme and/or style.
Theme
Holiday.
Style
Product shot
Well the final months images have been sent for judging. We know the winner for the film prize, lets see how he does with a digital entry.....
haha....yes.
The composition and lighting was a bit tricky, so I set it up first on the digital camera to get it right before shooting on film. The digital version just looked so much better then the black and white film version, I decided to enter the digital version instead ....... awaits cries of 'Judas'![]()
Thanks. I have found the thread in the subtle small link in Cowasakis's signature line!
I think I get it but some of the months and/or options aren't as clear as they could be.
e.g.
Does it have to be a holiday themed product shot or can it be a holiday shot which is not a product or a product shot which is not holiday related?
haha....yes.

that's not what film is about.
I can't figure any of it out, its so disjointed scattered across so many threads in different forum sections all titled similarly with separate conditions, its all too convoluted and confusing.
How come the rules are not in this thread ???
and what's this -
In the poster and december months you may take your scanned print or negative into the digital domain and carry out digital post production work to create a poster etc BUT any images used must be your own and taken on film.
If I wanted to be in the digital domain, I'd shoot digital, that's not what film is about.
in your opinion...To you...

You're poking the fire, if you've got something to say, get on with it

Every bit the adult reply I expected. Well done.

Right, ladies and gentlebods... lets talk dpi. For a film entry, what would you reckon is an appropriate dpi for your submission?
In what way? Appropriate scan dpi or appropriate export dpi?
