Hello Marc. Sorry to hear you're feeling down but as you say Sunday will be great.

Anyway you'll be meeting The King of Groove for the first time so not sure if that's good or bad!!!

Shame Pat is not coming as she's good for a laugh!

Day 57

So Frustrating!

Still can't find any inspiration or motivation at the moment. It's leading me to
doubt myself..........my ability, my creativity, my self worth. I've done absolutely
nothing today, took me over an hour to just get myself out to the supermarket earlier.

Sorry today is such a downer guys, really need to shake this off by the weekend.

Day 58

Phew!

Isn't it strange how something crappy hapens and it actually brings back
your motivation and some self esteem. Got a letter in the post today from
Sigma to tell me that my lens was in fact a grey import (I actually suspected
this but thought it only affected the extended 3 year warranty) and as such
I would need to provide prove that VAT was paid at the point of input to the UK. :bang:

I phoned them up and, to be fair, they were sympathetic. He explained that I
needed to contact the retailer and ask them to provide paperwork to confirm
the the lens was imported legally otherwise I would have to pay £79.99 for
the repair. I then phoned Microglobe and, after expressing my displeasure,
they agreed to contact Sigma and provide the relevant documentation. They
the phoned me back a couple of hours later to let me know that it was all
sorted and Sigma would be carrying out the repair under warranty.

So it all worked out in the end, but having to make those phone calls really
helped lift me up and I now feel more positive going into the weekend.

Glad to hear that the lens is sorted Marc and that the process has helped lift you.

Your self portraits are showing no signs of getting tired.

good stuff mate:thumbs:

The more i look at your range of facial expressions Marc, the more i'm convinced you ARE related to Phil Cool

Day 59

Stick & Ball

Spend all day with the horses today and I'm absolutely shattered! Sue
borrowed a stick and ball from the polo club and decided to have a play. The
white balance is way of in one of the pics but I'm way too knackered to worry
about it at the moment and I've got to be up early tomorrow for the Tag Team
Street Photography Challenge.

i find it hard enough to stay on a horse let alone almost hanging off it to hit a ball.

i stil need to learn how to split the picture like that

Just catching up glad to hear your getting your lens sorted Marc, even more so that you have your motivation back. Great expression in "Phew"

Good news on the lens Marc :)

Cheers guys. Just catching up with everything after a long day yesterday and all day today with no internet! :bang:

Day 61

Day61.jpg

The cheap and the dear!

I got up this morning and soon realised that I had no internet, just a red
power light on the router. :bang: This has happened a couple of times
recently but it has come back after a short while. By two o'clock this
afternoon it was still down so I phoned my ISP who confirmed that the router
was knackered! So off I popped to spend £58 quid I could have done without
spending! On the plus side, I popped into Morrisons a little while ago and
they had the new U2albim for £6!

Glad you had a good time on Sunday....hope to see lots of good shots!

I like the couple on the bench best

Gald to hear you are feeling a little better Marc, although i have to say the pictures even the ones taken when your feeling down are fantastic your emotions really show though :)

Sorry to hear about your modem, same thing has happened to me in the past. Good price for the new U2album, is it any good?

Thanks Ruth. Yeah, I feel a lot better at the moment.

I like the portrait of (Feek?) drinking the coffee

Is that Feek from OCUK?

If I know what OCUK was, I'd tell you. :D

Sorry, Overclockers UK.

I know there is a user called Feek over there, but i was not aware that there was one here also - my bad ;)

I was just shocked at how much they cost. The one that went south was the one we received when we first got broadband. Haven't had a chance to listen to the album yet, having an office sort out tomorrow so will listen to it then. The single has really grown on me over the last couple of weeks.

Apparently it's the name of a character from 2000AD so there are probably a few forum members using it across the interweb. ;)

Silly internet! I always was on plug-in broadband, til they upgraded the phone line. Then they sent it squiffy. So I argued that it was their fault I could no longer get a connection and they sent me a FREE broadband wireless router thingie

I know they're not bloomin cheap! Glad your all fixed now!
