Up to my sodding eyes in it TBH,
Perhaps I should have said I need some light relief
As above I've hardly had it out ( Camera before you ...)
in months![]()
One day maybe one day...Awww never mind you had a nice long rest
Day's off? days off?I do have a few days off shortly
TBH Keith I've had enough, the next email they get will be for my migration code.Give them a call and ask them to ping the router
Cheers for the info, I didn't know thatCobra as of 20th June MAC codes are no longer required to transfer... Ofcom have done away with them and makes transition from one ISP to another quicker.
I've been with the same supplier since the days of dial up (tesco obviously) and now Talk Talk as they bought their "interests"I work in the industry but its in the public domain so its not like im giving away trade secrets.
Thanks againYup, Openreach will get the request via BT retail and Openreach then relay that back to the losing supplier. I believe there is still a 2 week turnaround to allow the losing supplier to try and retain and make sure the account is closed down correctly if not retained.
I done't really understand any of that, but I had the same issue with Tesco's awhile before Talk Talk took over, sounds like you have DLM (Dynamic line management) control on your line. It throttles your line when it becomes unstable. Your provider should be able to instruct Openreach to put you on a fixed rate connection. It might not be much more than 1mb/s but it will be stable.
As above the line apparently isn't crap and O/R were very helpful when I spoke to themTo be honest if you have a crap line, or openreach are being a pain

Just lucky I guessI am quite surprised that you managed at stable 2.5mb/s
As I said OR have never been the problem, Tescos were, they sorted it Talk talk took over and the problem started again. Also being "helpful" on the phone etc doesn't equate to not being a pain in reality
Your current woes lay testament to this
IndeedI am assuming you have tried plugging your router directly into the test socket for 24 hours and see if that makes a difference?
Now why didn't I think of that?OK you need to sell up and move to a virgin cable area![]()
Its situated on the A5, I think the Romans built it on their way through to Wales TBHor at least somewhere within decent proximity of your exchange lol....
but for how long....![]()

Fair point well presentedBecause you've sacrificed all the MK Virgins to ensure good MegaMeet weather for the past 2 years...
That was my immediate thought too
You can go go right off some people
Thanks Lynton, thats a kind offer, ever since I sent the last snotty email,jeez............... want me to write and send the email for you? I have CEO's queueing up to call me.. literally last week.. 3 called in an hour... (well 2 CEO and one from CEO office)
I've just replied to the CEO's office lacky, asking why the hell does my speed increase every time I send a complaint in...
