I’m sure some/all of you may know this but it came as a surprise to me.
If you sell something on Ebay and take payment via PayPal, if the purchaser claims not to have received it they can enter a dispute with Ebay, ok that bits nothing new.
But then If you have funds in your Papal account, to the same amount of the disputed sale items, those funds are frozen, or as in my case if you don’t have funds in there, they put a minus figure on the account so when you do add funds, from another sale for instance, it swallows those funds up until the dispute is sorted.
Unfortunately I’m probably going to lose as I didn’t send the items recorded delivery, only proof of posting, and ebay will side with the purchaser.
Don’t ever post anything from an ebay sale if you use PayPal without it being recorded delivery, as in any dispute you will loose, and Paypal have the ability to take your money!!
