weekly Delta Skies 2012 52 Week Challenge - Week 52 "Busy" added

 I didn't know they did a Yorkshire edition, that might be an idea for Christmas this year!!

Lovely colours, nice and sharp and I like the angle you shot it at:thumbs:
Thanks for the kind comments Marsha

A great idea and well taken. Good shot.
Cheers Phil

Hi Peter...

I have lead such a sheltered life....never knew waddingtons produced any versions other than the original...which now I've seen your shot I've realised I have one in my loft :bang:

SO...top marks for the idea , nicely laid out & well shot
Definitely a sheltered Life. You can even get one called Ownopoly where you can can make all the names of the streets up yourself and print them

Hi, Peter, just right for me.

It's quite sharp and most of all, it looks like it's being played as opposed to staged.

Cheers.
Thanks the the feedback Andy

Brilliant! I love that; great composition and colours/tone, and great interpretation too.

Poor little sod at the back though!!!!

Well taken Peter in poor lighting conditions! I like your use of DOF and how you captured the reflection in the water!:)

I do wonder what our neighbours think though - you taking pics of rubber ducks in our pond whilst I'm inside taking pics of a snail race!!:lol:

Another good idea, I'm stumped this week. Great point of focus, good job
Thanks Phil

Hi Peter,

I think win is excellent. Lovely DOF and POV. The eyes and lips of the ducks really stand out:thumbs:
Thanks for the feedback Marsha

LOL. There's always one that lags behind

Let them think what they want  Those ducks were better behaved than your snails :bonk:

Another good week for you Peter.
It's a quacking shot! As already said great dof and composition.

Carol

ah what a sweet shot, love it

Brilliant photo for WIN, works really well, it is well taken and a happy photo to boot.
Thanks for the comments Martin

Win - Great idea and good composition + DOF. One of my favourites for the theme.
Thanks for the feedback Nathalie

Hi peter

Win - well composed and good differential focus. good use of colour with the water area muted in autumn shades. Well set up. And they all look so happy !!
Thanks Alan. Yeah they were so happy to be in the water I couldn't wipe the smile of their faces

Well this is a first for me - publishing on theme day.

When I saw the theme this morning and the sun was out I thought about these shiny balls at Clarence Dock in Leeds. The one I wanted to take had some orange barrier netting next to it so I went for the other one instead as the sun was lighting up the building opposite.

Shiny by Delta Skies, on Flickr

Hi Peter

well done on being so fast off the mark and lucky with the sun:thumbs:

Excellent shot for the shiny part but the building and tree behind seem to affect the balance of the shot. If only those clerestory windows and green parapet were not there. But of course nothing you can do about that. Good clean, clear image

hi Peter,

nice and quick this week, love the shot, very shiny!! great reflections..

Fab - I love these balls, I took some in Sheffield a while back. Looks a lovely blue sky too! Mandy
Thanks amanda. Yeah blue sky and the odd fluffy cloud. What more could I ask for.

Thanks for the comments Alan. I agree the background isn't what I'd have chosen but beggars can't be chosers.

Excellent and very fitting.
Thanks Alby

Well done Peter for an excellent shiny shot,I think you've caught it nicely.

I'd say the sky top left could do with a little straightening but otherwise I think it's spot on:thumbs:
Thanks Marsha. Sometimes the obvious just gets missed. I'll have to straighten the original later.

Playing catch up BIG Style :)

Money - Like that Peter, nicely set up, good even light and nice and sharp

Win - Excellent... really like that, great DOF, real nice take on the theme :)

Shiny - That's a great one, did you give it a polish first !!!

perfect! did you have to polish it first?

Very nice! I ALWAYS get myself in the shot when I try anything like this, so you've done well!

Hi Peter,

Apologies, I have no idea where the time goes...

'Win' - Nice capture, duck races are a big thing in Derbyshire and and everyone is known affectionately as 'me duck' so I can identify with that nice colours too....

'Shiny' - again nice image and reflections in the sphere and nice to see that you didn't include yourself

Nice work

Hi Peter, forever catching up!
Your take on money bang on theme but don't the scot's beat you on financial issues? Not my view from a couple of trips up norf lol

Ah the ducks, brilliant for win and good DOF. Bath water looks a bit murky though

Shiny is a great idea and like the reflection, well thought out and executed.
Keep up the good work

Like the win shot, i really think you have too much time on your hands in the Bindon household but well taken

Shiny bang on theme like it a lot

Yeah we've got some friends from Derby and "me duck" is exactly what they say. Thanks for the kind comments Nick.

Super shiny shot and you are not in it like it a lot.

I can't think of where there is anything like that near me or I would get and try one. This weeks theme seems to be producing some very good and different photos.
Thanks Martin

 about the bath water. Thanks for the feedback John

Great work on shiny, maybe a shallower depth of field would have sorted out the distracting background
Thanks Phil

Cheers Liz. The camera and lights were out again tonight. :naughty:
