weekly Delta Skies 2012 52 Week Challenge - Week 52 "Busy" added

I love the composition you have on the spring onion, with it being close up like it is it almost looks other worldly :)
Thanks Ruth. I agree - this 52 is making me look at objects very differently

Great shot, well done.
Cheers Phil

It has been said but that us a great photo of the spring onion lovely detail and great lighting.
Thanks Martin

that's very nice. Lovely lighting and very sharp. Could be used as a demonstration of how the evil empire (te$co) is spreading..
Thanks for the feedback Stephen.

Like the idea, but as Paul mentioned the lighting has let this one down. Certainly worth another go though and play around with the lighting on this one, definitely has potential.

I like it though I think the lightings a tad too bright on it resulting in it being blown out in places?

Thanks for the feedback Paul and Simon. I have to agree with you. Something silvery like this is not the best subject to take in a rush. I might give it another go depending on next week's subject that will come out tomorrow morning.

What an interesting object, the whites don't particularly bother me, it gives it a stark silvery appeal.

Hi, peter, I have to agree, it's a very interersting object and I imagine the composiiton wasn't easy.

Lighting is an issue.

Root, nice submission. My only issue it, I'd like to have the root totally vertical.

Cheers.

Hey Peter - I really like the object/fork, a great find... the lighting doesn't distract too much for me, nice angle too :)
Thanks for the comments DK

An interesting figure there Peter, which I think you have done a good job on the lighting of. Its not easy photographing shiny objects such as this, so well done.
I like the pov you have taken too, it displays the whole figure. Iain

Yet another interesting character. I actually quite like the lighting, not distracting for me:thumbs:
Thanks for the feedback Marsha

Some great efforts in this 52, Peter.....week 8 in particular is a belter!!!
Cheers Damien

Great shot, like the detail you have captured.

Handmade
Nice shot, looks to be a little blow out, but I think it adds to the shot.
Thanks for the feedback Darren

lighting is very nice an interesting image and good take on the theme this week
Cheers Nick

Good picture, good work.
Thanks Robert

Hand made I like the lighting on the subject it is the shadow that bothers me more. I think I would have been tempted to take another shot without the subject there and use that as a layer in ps to remove it. I am being picky though. It does work and is on theme so good job

Martin

What a great find, really like this Peter, the lighting works for me.

Carol

I really like the handmade shot, but do agree that the lighting is just a touch too harsh.

I used to fly kites a lot too, and attended lots of festivals. Don't seem to get the time now, and my wife prefers my photography hobby because she always saw kite flying (trick kites) as getting in the way of family days out, whereas photography complements them.

Hi Peter

Handmade...another interesting little figurine....you've done a good job with the lighting & I'm liking the POV.....shows the whole figure off nicely

Root...really like that shot...most stuff has been said so just a  fro me

Thanks for the feedback Martin. It's funny I quite like the shadow but do see what you are saying.

I like your take on Direction.

The paint in secure looks interesting.
I may have gone for a different angle to get more detail in the paint.
I did take quite a few shots while I was there but settled on the one of this boat. I was on a bit of a time limit as I'd convinced the security guard that I'd only be 10 minutes - It must have been more like an hour and 10 minutes :nono:

What a great find, really like this Peter, the lighting works for me.

Carol
Thanks Carol

That's a great little object. The lighting has definitely split opinion here. I too think that it is a little harsh in places. Good job though.
Thanks for the comments Phil

It's a small world and we may well have flown on the same field somewhere in the past. The number of festivals is dwindling unfortunately and they are quite a commitment time wise. We combined both hobbies and always took our camera. Have a look at my other site http://www.peterbindon.com/ for loads of pictures of kites and festivals and events we've attended across the UK and beyond.

Some really nice shots liked Industry and you must have had some patience for the stacked sugar grains worth it though

Thanks for the feedback Allan. Sarah might have a different word to patience having witnessed me setting the shot up

The lighting has been mentioned, other than that I like it. Quite a cool use for a fork that!
Thanks Michael.

Handmade - really strong picture, nice subject and good lighting.

Money - clear, crisp, colourful and nailed.

Two really strong weeks.
Thanks Alex. I'd had a few of ideas for the money shot but this was the one that stood out for me. Composing the image was quite fun - I even got £200 for passing go

money looks really good. nice colours and nice and sharp.
Thanks for the feedback Michael

Lol "being careful" nice pc way of saying tight! Top shot tho very crisp
Thanks Chris

I really like that! Great colours and composition. OK, so I know you didn't design the Monopoly board so arguably the colours are down to Waddingtons, but you've captured them beautifully :)

lovely shot  I have the Newcastle edition complete with spelling mistake - is my heirloom

Hi Peter...

I have lead such a sheltered life....never knew waddingtons produced any versions other than the original...which now I've seen your shot I've realised I have one in my loft :bang:

SO...top marks for the idea , nicely laid out & well shot

Hi, Peter, just right for me.

It's quite sharp and most of all, it looks like it's being played as opposed to staged.

Cheers.
