Seriously, a great set. My favourites are the puddles and the pillows.

Thanks Bebop, I debated with using the colour version of the pillows. All the dark ones are red.

I missed the "Solid" shots when you posted them. What a cracking set. The mono ones worked really well. ( Bonus marks for the best shoehorning so far this year!)

Week #25 - my choice...

I took a number of shots over the last few days that I liked here are a few:

Along the boardwalk in New Westminster there are many planting beds that the residents take care of, I liked these bluebells that have gone to seed:



And the seed heads from these flowers make for an interesting image (I also like how the colours from the other flowers came out in the background:



Walking towards the carpark, a little impromptu, pseudo self-portrait:



In in one of the shop windows:



On Saturday the Halal Food Festival was being held at the city hall plaza so we went an checked it out. The food was amazing:



And I thought that I'd take a few shots of the crowd to to an artsy, multi-exposure image:



And I thought that I'd include this shot, even though it was taken just before the start of this challenge. I was up in Kamloops for business and saw the clouds against the hills so I snapped a few:

Thanks Alan, I'm trying to play with multiple exposures with Stephanie Jung as my inspiration. Her images tend to cityscapes but the thought process is the same (at least in my mind). It's a fun technique with lots of possibilities.

Thanks Simon, I would probably have used that shot as my primary but it was just a couple of days too early. The funny thing is that it is just a quick grab from where I was on top of the car park at our head office in Kamloops. You might never suspect that I was in the heart of the town .

Week #26 - 1/2

Mulled this over for quite a bit and decided that this challenge would give me the opportunity to put my OM-D E-M1 through it's paces insofar as its IBIS. So, the following are all shots taken at 1/2 a second, hand held. No placing the camera on a stable surface, no tripod.

These first two are shots of the midway rides at the July 1st Canada Festival in Cloverdale:



This one is five images of the crowds taken with the camera held above my head. Blended in Photoshop.



This is from a my attempts at panning. The lady and with her child photobombed my shot as I tried to follow the white car. So, an unintentional outcome, but I liked the result:



This is just a simple shot of a city waterfall:



It was raining today so I went downtown and tried panning people and got some interesting results. I liked the man's purple umbrella.



And this is a water feature that was spraying everywhere (in the rain...):



I always like shooting this crossing because of the bright yellow paint:

Snappers choice, again strong images. Never tried multiple exposure shots, I’m being honest wouldn’t even know where to start, and shows what can be done. Brilliant.
1/2. Really liked your take on this, never thought of a half second exposure. I suppose in Scotland seeing as it’s so damned dark that’s our normal exposure time so that’s normal right haha.
Look forward to seeing what’s in the next ‘alf year

Thanks very much Scott. Given Vancouver's on-again/off-again rainy weather lately, I'm getting used to the 1/2 second exposures as well.

Hopefully second half is just as fun as the first half.
