The Sun is out, the sky is blue, so the bikes come out of the shed for a bit of fun :)


No mono from me today - the colours are just too nice in the sun today (AB's have kicked in so feeling much better ;) )

Mono is fun. I'm slowly starting to see which images will work better in mono than in colour before i press the shutter :)

"Squirt"

Caitlin loves watering the plants and grass. The first thing she does when she gets in from school is check on the Tomato plants and water the gardens. I've included both the colour and the B&W versions of this shot as i like them both (but prefer the B&W one)

"Finger Food!"

We all went to a friends 25th Wedding Anniversary. What a great night we all had. I promoted Caitlin to official photographer and sent her around the room with the Nikon photogrpahing all of the guests and she had a great time. She needed a food break half way through as her arms were aching :)
 
Everything HERE without Caitlin on has been shot by Caitlin :)

I did the usual straigtening / WB / Crop etc on them, but other than that they are all her own work ;)

The beauty of an 8 uear old asking to take pictures is that everyone poses and smiles for her, and she had not a single refusal ;)

"Wherever I Lay My Hat..."

It's Carnival Day in Stalybridge today and, as we do every year, we go and cheer on the procession as it passes through the town centre, then its off into the local park where they have a fair and various stalls. Surprisingly the sun joined us for the duration, and within 20 mins of getting home we could hear the thunderstorms approcahing :)

173 is nice capture and 177 'squirt' is fantastic!!!!
 
Caitlin did exceptionally well there Chris, especially given that the D700 plus whatever lens was onboard must have been really heavy for an 8 yr old.

Well done Caitlin... :)

"Swing-Ball!"

As its tennis time on the telly, it was declared time to get the swing-ball set out! :)
 
Ok, sit down.

I was unfortunate enough to be hit in the groin area when I was very young, by a swingball. I ended up in hospital for an overnight stay, one of my testicles decided to go and hide and wouldn't come back out....Therefore Swingball=EVIL!!!!

"Rain Stopped Play!"

I Had it all planned for tonights picture. We've all been to the dentist today for a check-up (all clear), and i was to cut the grass when we got back home, with the kids helping me (photo opportunity!), but while we were in the dentist it threw it down, so you got a picture of Caitlin enjoying a four-cheese pizza :)

"Lets Twist Again!"

Caitlin came home with (another) note from school to let us know know that she had twisted her ankle at lunchtime! Never a week goes by without one injury or another (i put it down to all the activities they both do!).

I like swingball but it can get a bit scarey when its flying at you so fast :lol:

Looks like Caitlin's enjoying her pizza, home-made? I love home-made pizzas!

The last reminds me of my sister, if anythings gonna happen it will to her and she was always hurting herself :)

Rebecca managed to get herself in the ways of the ball when i was playing her. Very nearly ended up with a black eye :lol:

Pizza wasn't home-made (this time), but thats a picture for another day ;)

Her ankle is fine, she was running around again this morning so no damage done :D

"Hot Stuff!"

It's really been too warm to even think about photography today, plus we've just been so busy (Caitlin at swimming and Rebecca at Dancing) that by the time i walked in the door, all i wanted was a beer and a sit down :)

As a consequence, tonights picture is a (yet another) B&W portrait of Caitlin enjoying a sit on the decking steps!

More like Rebecca is at that age where she keeps shutting her self in her room to MSN her mates :D

I do catch her when i can (and she's in a good mood)

A week or two ago i tally'd up the shots of each of them so far and there was only 4 or 4 in it ;)
