Daily Carol's 365 from 12th December 2012 - A Year of Happiness

Thanks Vince :D Ran out of ideas at about Day 30 but just keep trying :) Got the ideas in my head but nothing that seems to work right on the day though :( I'm not giving in that quickly though :D

I thought I commented on your spider plant? I swear there's some skullduggary going on round here:suspect:!! Anyway, I like it a lot!

Love your big bad baking bananza! What will you do when you reach 100 days, invite 5000 round so you can feed them?!

Congratulations on your first 50, Carol!

Thanks Sam :D
100 days? have just managed 50  but wont be inviting 5000 round ...... just 2500 then they can have 2 each ;)

3 nice photo's since I last called in  though I've got to say the one I love the most is that flower, the cakes are wonderful and I'm looking forward to putting on the blackpool meet even more :D

Thanks sarah ..... couldnt eat dinner later :( starving again now

Thanks Matt and yes will be a good meet .... just remind me closer to the day

Hi Carol, well done on the big five o! Overall I really think the triptych works and I love all the images they are really good, just one minor niggle is that the WB in the main image seems a touch orangey compared to the bottom 2 a slight tweak in PP and you could have it perfect! That said, the lighting and style of all the shots especially together I could easily see in a cookbook

Just had a look at it and you are right Ferj...... it is slightly yellower isnt it? think I used two different presets for them ..dddduuuuuhhhhh :bang:

Thanks for the lovely comment about the cook book though - so funny as I was just talking to a friend tonight who makes cakes for a living and she was saying how she cant get any decent photos of them when she has made them ..... maybe have a try myself and see what can be done - worth a shot even if they dont work at least I have tried :D

Congratulations on day 50!.. woohoo!!!:clap::clap::clap:

As i said on fb they look so yummy!!!

Today the weather is gale force winds but I still went for a walk across to the Lake with bread for them all. Mr Heron came right up to me today so he must be getting used to me. Got a few lovely shots but have to say this one made me chuckle a bit .... some of the Gulls were sat on the fence and as I shot them one of them looked as though he was standing on his 'tip toes' to get a better look across the lake :)

No Editing on this one as I am just on my way to work so will have a try later :(

Cute shot carol I really like that.... You're right tho its sooooo windy

That's a great shot Carol! I'd love to see it at more of an angle too, either in front so the faces of the rest can be seen but still OOF or behind. I love it!

Very, very nice, Carol - great shot and you certainly took advantage of a great opportunity!

Nice seagull shot! I'd be tempted to clone the beak coming out of the neck, but I'm just weird

And what about those buns! They made me hungry. And that can only mean 1 thing, it's a damn fine shot! :)

Nice gulls, would have liked to have seen them more from the front though, so the line of them was at more of a diagonal

Great shot Carol :)

Nice gull shot and I see what you mean about the tiptoes!

Like the gulls Carol, think I'd have been tempted to remove the beak as well.

Thanks to everyone for the comments :D Unfortunately the fence is about 12" away from the edge of the Lake and they always seem to stand on it facing into the lake so a front shot isnt possible :( Not unless I don some scuba gear and go for it that way and sorry but as much as I love my photography I arent going swimming for anyone or anything

Today I think I managed to catch up on my sleep and had a day of just sitting about, editing photos which are in my folders and have had nothing done with them (so FB is going to be inundated with new albums later  ) and then thought I would try this flower for my POTD with my Macro (loving this now) but tried a few different 'poses' for it rather than front on .... quite pleased with this one .... as it says in the title - a different side :D

That really is very beautiful!... I do love to see different angles of flowers!....
Sounds like you had a lovely relaxed day...

Thanks Trace :) No stress at all today - just relaxed and went with the flow :D Thought I would try a different stance as was bored with doing the same images of the flowers each time .... mixed a few front ones in with them but happy enough with the different views :) Just uploaded four new albums to my fb so that should keep them busy

Ooh I shall check them out with my cuppa and chocs once rats in bed.. Lol

:D bless him lol

Very nice, Carol - and refreshing to see a different angle on the flower there...I keep forgetting they have other sides to them!

Thanks Sam :D so did I

Very pretty, love the green with the pink. Wouldn't have seen that from straight on

Thanks Sarah :D Its the green on the back of the petals which made me think twice about doing front-on shots :)

Thanks Vince :D

Thanks Michael :) It drives me mad somedays (usually when I have to go to work ) but then I get an idea and have to keep trying it till I think I have it (or as close to as possible )

Like the flower Carol, I think its really good to approach things from a new angle

Thanks Ferj :)
