Yes indeed, thanks. Definitely helped to get my head around the basics and the rest seems a little less daunting now.
Not alot of activity in here, is that a good thing as no one has problems or bad as not many use them?
Just bought my self a 7D upgrading from a 500D, first outing is tomorrow![]()
Quick question - I had my 7D flash "red" when it got focus.. and then turned it off (so it doesn't flash the focus point when focus is gained).. how do i turn it on again?

However, I took about 20 fast but single shots on the weekend, then looked down to see a card write error and none of them had saved.
Has anyone seen this before on sandisk? Is it likely to be the card or the cam? It wasn't even in continuous mode and is a little worrying.

There was a problem with Sandisc and 7d but it was a while back and they seemed to have sorted the problem with upgrading the software. Check the software on yours against Cannons latest updates in case yours needs updating.
Its quite easy to do even I managed it Lol
Hi,
Just took the plunge and moved to Canon from a Sony/Minolta set up.
My choice, a 7D with the 15-85 lens...
Should arrive within the week.
now to save for a 100-400L and a macro lens tbd...![]()

Paired with a 70-200L F4, Tamron 17-50 and a 50mm it seems great.
OOooo what would tempt you - how about a 40d and CashI could be tempted to part with mine.........

Mine is virtually all set up now, just a little bit of tinkering to complete. got in late again so not much to take descent pics of, looking forward to the weekend now for a days outing![]()
I bet it is... and Doesn't - I purchased a 15-85 a couple of months ago which I really like, but would love to upgrade it to the 24-105It's perfect for walk around and every day use, hardly ever comes off it !
TBH, unless you prefer the focal range of the 24-105, I wouldn't bother. The 15-85 is a great lens and does very, very well against the L lenses that we have here that cover the same focal length (17-40/24-105).I bet it is... and Doesn't - I purchased a 15-85 a couple of months ago which I really like, but would love to upgrade it to the 24-105![]()
