A few humans.
Most are simply getting in with their lives causing no harm to anyone.
I'd say that collectively we are destroying this planet.

Well in that case I blame GodI'd say that collectively we are destroying this planet.
No we're not.
Eventually we may destroy ourselves, but after that the planet will recover quite nicely without us.

Forgive me if I don't start hoarding bottled water and canned/dried food just yet.
Who else of a certain age remembers the phrase "reds under the bed" paranoia is not a new thing![]()
And to prove that point, I spend a lot of time working on landfill sites, where just about every conceivable waste product ends up. At the moment I'm looking at a few hundred square meters of scaring, that is the working cell. But I can also see several hundred acres that mother nature has reclaimed. Just this morning, I've seen a Fox stalking one hedgerow. A Kessie or two catching mice / voles. Last week a female peregrine and a male Goshawk hunting. Plus a myriad of flora that I have no idea of the names of. Yes mother nature is quite capable of repairing our scars...but after that the planet will recover quite nicely without us.
Well I'm not sharing my water in my house on top of a hill.No we're not.

I forgot to add solicitors and legal peeps they mess everything up also.
Honestly?http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-noticeboard-telling-Muslims-f-countries.html
Love the way people are so 'offended' - will never step foot in a weatherspoons pub again (tbh, I agree but for different reasons!)... not really sure how they are to blame, unless they employ someone to check every board or wall for posters every minute of the day.
Surely though if you wanted to put up a poster like this to offend you would pick a place where you are more likely to get muslims than a pub!
Honestly?
A poster designed only to offend is discovered to be offensive, the only point worthy of note here is that a National newspaper felt the story was newsworthy.
So IMHO the only point worthy of discussion is 'why would the DM publish this'?
Is it because they enjoy stirring the pot of intolerance? Can you think of any other reason?
As far as I can see 'people' weren't offended, a person was, and no-one in the story has suggested anything other than the poster is offensive, so where's the story.
Again; just MHO but only a half wit would see that poster and not find it offensive, it's sole purpose is to be offensive, and it's succeeded.
True but some muslims still go in pubs though.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-noticeboard-telling-Muslims-f-countries.html

But why?My point was that as a result of said poster the man would never visit a weatherspoons again, yet it seems harsh to blame them. It was in other papers too.
But why?
'One man finds a poster in a pub and decides never to go to another pub' isn't a story. It's less than an irrelevance. 'A bloke overreacts a bit' and the consequence is he'll miss out on Curry Thursdays isn't worth our the amount we've discussed it for, let alone the national press.
However, wetherspoons said they had a policy to police the noticeboards, so the policy wasn't followed, or the staff locally decided the poster was fine, either way, Wetherspoons are at fault.
The posters main objective wasn't to offend muslims but to incite racial hatred, quite an easy task looking at some of the people who frequent Wetherspoons pubsSurely though if you wanted to put up a poster like this to offend you would pick a place where you are more likely to get muslims than a pub!

Several days according to the article.Depends on how long it was up for. Can't police it every minute.
I don't think race comes into that. It's more of a case of, had a beer, have a fight. The posters main objective wasn't to offend muslims but to incite racial hatred, quite an easy task looking at some of the people who frequent Wetherspoons pubs![]()
It obviously didn't cause much offence if that's the case then.Several days according to the article.
As I have repeatedly said, there was a complaint by a person. It's hardly newsworthy. It obviously didn't cause much offence if that's the case then.
They were probably dyslexic and thought it was a dress code warning and muslin shirts etc. weren't acceptable. As I have repeatedly said, there was a complaint by a person. It's hardly newsworthy.

I am not a half wit.
Read it. It's message is leave if you don't like western ways. Seems logical and right to me.
Your comprehension seems to suggest otherwiseI am not a half wit.

I read somewhere that humans could not destroy the planet, somehow nature would not allow us too. So could probably make a right mess of it, but not destroy the planet literallyI'd say that collectively we are destroying this planet.
Paraphrasing the thread title, I saw a bumper sticker awhile back, it readI read somewhere that humans could not destroy the planet, somehow nature would not allow us too. So could probably make a right mess of it, but not destroy the planet literally![]()

It survived quite happily without us for a few million years, I'm sure it will again, the planet will continue through it's cycles and "recover" quite happily.
Your comprehension seems to suggest otherwise
I clearly wasn't discussing the content of the poster, but it's intent.
So it appears by your reasoning, you are indeed a half wit - but you said that not me
Although, the fact that you stick your fingers in your ears and shout 'La La La' every time someone puts forward facts that refute your opinions kinda points that way too.![]()
