Oh. That lovely bright blue sky. Great quad of pictures of fruit.![]()

Great colours in your produce shot. I think the one with the boarders is my favourite.
Great capture for candid with both shots, the first is full of energy so just takes 1st prize.
I prefer your first version for produce, all those blue skys you can see makes us all feel very envious![]()
Lovely colouds and skies Iain... it works nicely.
No envy here either... stuck here in the rain and grey murk for weeks on end.......

Smashing stuff !! Very clever on all sorts of levels.
We're you not brave enough to hide in the sandpit thingy and take the shots face on ?![]()
I've got only one thing to say about quad and that is WHERE IS YOUR HAT! all that sun can't be too good for that bonce. Nice idea although I would have moved the rake out of shot but thats a very minor niggle.

Poetry - nice lighting and fits the poem. The castle looks pretty old - where is it?
Quad - clever stuff which works well. I hope you weren't concentrating on posing so much that you hit the ball into the trees!

Like the castle reshoot, and it really does look like floating in the air there........
Now for the golf:
Nicely on plane in the swing there Iain.... (I am in denial and won't photo my golf swing, as I know its way too flat!!!!!) Those fairways look a tad unkempt though!
Now for the crit bit.......
I was going to say bottom left and bottom right should be swapped, as bottom left looks to be the finish of the swing, however the foot position on bottom right tells me you are being a camera tart and gone back to "hold the pose," so it must have been a good shot.(also no body lean willing the ball one way or the other!)........
Personally I would have liked to see same size top 2 and bottom 2, but that must just be me, given the amount of people I seem to have offended / upset this week saying, "yeah nice, but same size, or get them aligned properly."
If there's ever a Norwich afternoon meet - how about coming up early and taking a trip round my track before heading off with Camera's?? Just a thought.......
Nice work, good composition and a nice choice of the 4 main parts of the swing. I might have been tempted to have the final pic as more of an expressive one, so either celebrating a great shot or breaking the club over your knee for a bad one...
I hadn't thought that far ahead Gary but I like your thinkingWell done on both of these. The castle in the air is great. It really is floating. I would probably have cloned out the trees at the bottom of the photo, though.
The golf shots are very clever but again I would have cloned out the rake or removed it first.
Great takes on both of the themes.
Jenny
Quad is a great idea and play on words, and don't forget the squares... the Reshoot is great and it really looks like the castle is floating.
Good photo for reshoot Iain. I really like the silhouette of the tree against the castle in the centre of the shot.
Quad works well - never really managed to get into golf beyond the games console. Quite enjoying watching it on the TV though.
Another good one, Iain. A different take on the theme and the DOF is perfect.
Jenny
yep that works for me.Agree with the comments above regarding spot on DOF.
A great idea, beautifully composed and executed. My only slight niggle is the highlight on the bracelet in the top right which I find distracting - I'd prefer to tone it down a bit.
I'm surprised the dice are as sharp as they are with a shutter speed of just 1/6. Have you anchored them with bluetac or something?
I like this idea for shoot, it looks pretty well taken although i would like to see a bit more foreground for the mind to imagine the dice rolling into.
I like the Quad shot. That's thinking outside the box.
As for the Shoot shot
Allan

Wow !!!!
3 really good shots there since I last popped in.
The reshoot for poetry is a million times better than the original shot.
OK you were lucky with the lighting, but you spotted it and you shot it. You've still got that floaty nighttime feel, but so much better clarity on the building in this one. The silhouettes of the trees against the wall work particularly well.
My only suggestion would be to crop a little of the foreground away - although it might not be so much of a castle in the air then
Quad
Works well. I like these story board type images where you can follow one shot through to the next and I think this works better than your fruit shot.
Shoot : Really good take on the theme.
The edit with the highlights toned down is a definite improvement, but TBH the original worked for me as it was anyway.
Very clever use of blue-tac. You've managed to keep it very natural looking.

Do like Shoot, simple but effective. good contrast between the green and the dice, works well! Quad is great, nice and sharp, well lit shows off the action too! is it you or a fellow player?

Hi Iain, I'm ashamed to say this is the first time I've visited your thread - but I've found it very enjoyable. There are lots of imges I love, but my favourites are People (the hands), your Poetry reshoot - of the castle, and the Chemistry shot (the matches). That must have taken some doing!
The one that bourght a smile to my face was Mechanical - very, very clever.
Shoot: It's a good take on the theme and I like the dof. The green foreground works well and provides a good contrast to the dice. Well conceived and executed.
