Excellent lateral thinking here  I can't wait to see your next weeks effort!

At last someone else who raided the chocolate :) Great great effort, love the results!!

Well there's goes my last minute 'filler' idea of popping down the shops for some chocs. Nicely done sir. :)

Thanks all, I can see this getting very difficult and I will need to get my thinking cap on if I am going to get through it, I did draw a blank at first and took some map and tomtom shots like jollyjack but after seeing he had already done it I had to think a little more.

Awesome stuff, love the macro twist on a 52  :D

Can't really give advice because they're in a different league to what I can do, but I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of your shots :)

Brilliant idea...........and brilliantly executed:thumbs:

..........and I bet you had to eat all the chocs during the shooting process:lol:

Hmm, managed to miss this thread so far, not sure how.
Week 2 is on the money, I love that poem, though that's possibly primarily due to James Earl Jones' rendition of it in the simpsons years ago. Good powerful image to represent it. For anyone interested http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9_6IODy0mU, it starts around 30 seconds in, mixed with the simpsons characters of course.

The mushroom shots are well executed, wouldn't have had a clue what they were I don't think if you hadn't said.

The street shot is my favourite I think, primarily for creativity. Must have taken some setting up. Good work.

Just catching up with your thread...

All are excellent - I particularly like the chopped mushroom, and "street" is mind-blowing! Full marks for imagination, ingenuity and technique. I'm looking forward to the rest of your 52.

:clap::clap::clap:

must say that is one of your better shots!

I almost toyed with going down the Quality Street route myself, but saw (only in the title, no peeking) that you'd already done something with the chocs

Didn't expect that though - absolutely marvellous!

Taha is one awsome shot. Something to aim for.

Can you get the bar any higher Alby - brilliant - (prefer Roses though) :D

Thanks everyone for passing and for all that want to know it was just a dripping tap with the lid of a Quality Street upside down behind it and shot in a darkened kitchen, exif data is intact in the shot for settings used. Thanks again ;)

Wow, Alby, what an amazing shot. It is crystal clear. "just a dripping tap" is a bit on an understatement - I would not know where to begin.

Wow Alby, what a fantastic take on Street :clap::clap:

I must admit I did wonder how you'd pull off the theme in Macro but I can see I need not have worried. I  it

I'm glad I dropped the chocolate idea now having seen this. Pure brilliance

Thanks everybody for follow and taking time out to comment ;)

Absolutely bloody awesome! My shot of the year so far.

Oh, how I covert that lens.

Well I'm going down the route of film speed for this one. Predicable...... well yes I think so :D

I had too Jon as I didn't have anything else apart from flying insects and they're a bit hit and miss this time of the year. Surprised I beat Jolly "quickdraw" Jack this time to the post though. :D

b****r :D - nice one Alby - wish I'd thought of this.

 Shouldn't have clicked into this one. I'm trying to avoid week 5 shots until I get mine done.

Since I'm here though and a couple of shots behind on your thread . . .

Chopped : Not sure which one I prefer, they're both almost like miniature landscapes. I had no idea that chopped mushrooms could be so interesting

Street : I wondered how you'd fit macro into street. Very clever and beautifully executed.

Speed : NOT LOOKING NOT LOOKING NOT LOOKING

Hi Alby,

Your 'speed' shots this week are technically very good but they just don't fire my imagination, I'm afraid. It's been a difficult week for a few people and it's surprising how limiting some themes can be.

I'm really loving your 'street' picture from last week though - what a fantastic image, something really different! :-)

I agree unfortunately.

Oh no ... These shots really make me feel inadequate :shake:, I was going to join in on this a bit late (always late to the party) but I just do not have this creativity in me :(.

Lovely shots all the same, I will be keeping a close (no pun intended) eye on this one.

Thaks folks for your comments ;)
Steve and Dean: I hear what you say and I may have been a bit to quick off the mark this week and may well revisit the theme. Thanks for the push ;)

That's a nice simple way of reminding us digital only shooters how it used to be in the old days ;)

:D

Another 52 thread I haven't seen before, really like the 'Poem' shot and 'Street' certainly is quality! The speed shots are still good they just don't have the impact of your other photos.

Some nice work Alby:thumbs:

No wories, Alby. I'll always give my honest opinion on a shot. Generally your macro work is utterly outstanding though.
