Spot on Alby, fits with the Poem, and it's a corker of a poem too

I have another idea if I get time to set it up

Surprised you had time to take that one after typing up the poem! ;)

A nice shot, though one could use any week so I'm surprised you opted for it so early on in the year. I do have a question too... why is the 'H' upside down? It really bugs me when players do that.

Thanks for looking chaps ;) Lee: I was wondering who would spot that :D

Chopped Mushroom, can't decide which one to post so I will post both :D
#1 could be one of the Jedward twins up close :D

Week 2, fantastic shot Alby, really like th eprocessing you gave the shot.

Week 3, I am the same as Dave number 1 works the best for me, although there is nothing wrong with either of them..

Like the idea of "The Raven" for week 2 - really shallow DoF works rerally well on it and the B/W conversion.

Week 3 is interesting as well - different take on it. I am sure it's probably mentioned elsewhere on TP, but any chance of a quick paragraph as to how you consistenlty get such good macro shots...... i.e. equipment used and technique?

Thanks

Liking all of these shots so far Alby - Sorry, have just caught up. I really like week 2 - The processing and focus is excellent.

Loving them!

Yes we did - just posted in the Landscape forum :)
Looks like you had a good time Dave ;)

Thanks Dave, just my normal sharpening, curves and contrast adjustment that I give all my shots. ;)
Hey, great images for the theme!! i prefer number 2 for my tastes, i think you have done really well :D
Thanks ;)

Thanks Lynton, I use thew canon 350d with the Mp-e 65 and the MT24 ex macro twin flash with Fong puffer diffusers, hand held and shot info is still attached in the exif data. No magic just make sure you hold the camera still and squeeze the shutter gently. Technique really is all it is, slowing down your photo taking and making sure you are in control of the camera, not snatching the shutter really makes the difference as to whether you get a sharp or blurred shot. Check out the exif data and replicate seeing what you come up with. ;)

Bloody hell, slow down man, some of us have only just completed week two. :)
Sorry Lee but I have a busy week this week what with our Scotland photography trip with a few of the lads on here so I needed to get it sorted early ;)

Thanks Sara, there are so many doing this I can never remember who and who I haven't replied too, having trouble trying to find time to keep up with them all anyway :(

Haha I have the taste and the fishfinge budget to go with it too :D thanks for looking ;)

Yet again a excellent Macro edition to our 52 weeker, Great images Alby.

Enjoy your Scotland trip, wish i was coming, looking forward to seeing the images when u get back m8

Thanks Jon, there was talk of another trip in the future so maybe you could tag along to the next one once it has been organised. North Wales was one of the ideas but as I'm off to Skomer this year I might be pushing it a bit with her indoors to get off with another trip this year so, it may have to wait until next year. I never say never though. ;)

Another superb shot Alby "love mushrooms" If I had to pick, No 2 does for me slightly. Enjoy Scotland.

Thanks Graham, I sure all of us will enjoy the trip :)

At least you told us what it is first, great shot. If only we could chop Jedward :naughty:

Another excellent shot Alby... I love both of them for different reasons, so can't decide.

Week 2 - I love this poem, and the picture goes well with it. Really like the light in the picture! Very nice.

Week 3 - It has to be the 2nd version for me. Loving the abstractness (is that a word?) of it, and somehow it has me thinking of sunshine and dandelions - which is a good thing of course! So well done :)

Week 4 Street  oh well what about a bit of quality street in a drop.

Flippin' 'eck.

Street and Poetry stand out as a couple of really excellent shots. I honestly can't think of anything more constructive to say.

Amazing stuff. Keep it up!

Ian.

Now that IS a QUALITY STREET!, up to your usual high standards.

 How did you get the focus right on the quality street? It's brilliant.

I really like your week 4. Looks like you achieved exactly what you set out to with it. well done, great shot
