Brought is NOT the past tense of buy - ever - it never has been
The word you are looking for is BOUGHT!
It's not a difficult concept to understand, honestly.
Brought is, however, the past tense of bring - now all you youngsters out there please get this into your head (and vocabulary)
and while we're at it
"would of" and "off of" should be replaced with "would have" and "from" (generally speaking) as in
I would have done that if I had got it from him first -
and not
I would of done that if I had got it off of him first.
Is it just me or do others get peeved with this sort of thing :shrug:
