A Picture a day (My 365) . . . Made it to the End!

16th July: Very little time for any photography today, so grabbed this shot on the compact whilst driving home from an evening lecture in Southampton (yes JD, the compact again, well not really feasible with a DSLR)

Thanks Nic & Lisa, had some heavy rain, was not a nice night driving home in the above shot either.

Hi there, just catching up. I love the low tide pic, and there's something I really like about yesterday's shot too :)

18th July: Storm clouds over Bosham

Busy day, so only had my Ixus compact with me again. Bosham is just as lovely as I remembered it, this shot was taken at low tide, just before the rain came down.

19th July: Colour under a mono sky (made it to 200)

No time for anything special today (busy enough taking turns with my wife doing DIY and looking after our girls, the 2 don't mix). This desperate effort was taken just after a downpour, walked to our nearest field and took a few photos. Liked the colour of these weeds (docs I think) growing in a set-aside field, and in an effort to try and make it less boring converted the trees and sky to mono (with some selective colouring adjustment on the field fauna that crept into the mono section.

20th July: The power of DVD!

Grabbed this quick shot when I arrived home from work. Happy with the moody look of the processing (Channel mixer for mono conversion, curves cross process and Noiseware all applied)

16th has that lovely low tech gritty feel to it - fabulous

18th - B&W, and very well processed - love it :thumbs::D

Thanks Chris, Mono Rulez ;)

Hmm was about to say this site seems so slow, I guess that's how I managed to post it twice.

Ok, very strange I clicked once then and it's posted twice, think this site is feeling a little sick :(

Wow how much did I miss?
Sorry, been really busy, and I might have a job soon

I think I have 2 dashboard shots in my 365 made with my D80 :D the last shot is really good!

Thanks mate

Taking a dashboard shot with a DSLR must have ben a bit tricky, found it a struggle just with the Ixus (but the conditions were bad)

21st July: Overblown Pier

Took the old 350D out today as it was little wet, this was Southsea Pier (sorry looking sight it must be said), messed around in Photoshop to give it the old overblown look.

Well Julian, I'm just having a catch up and these latest shots are fab! I particularly like what you've done with Portsmouth (well I would say that coming from Southampton!) and the shot yesterday of your girls is really special. Oh and I do like the Haslar shot - very colourful. Your lack of inspiration is anything but in my opinion.

Thanks Dave, very kind comments. Made a new boy mistake in the office by saying we go to Southampton more (as it's nearer) in the office, to which a torrant of boo's rang out from most of the folks :)

I like looking betwwen the planks, providing the gaps not too big. Many piers seem to be lacking a bit of TLC, which is a shame, but does make for interesting photos ;)

22nd July: Bought my wife some sunflowers, really brightens up the kitchen on a gloomy day :-)
