Looking for some help please. I bought a Neewer F100 7” monitor and it works (on the A1) via HDMI when the A1 is set to Video or S&Q mode. But it doesn’t show anything when I’m set to any other mode.
Is there anything in the options so that I can view the picture on the monitor when I’m in...
Using my A1 - I can't figure out how to use the Eye tracking AF when shooting movies. I've googled but can't find anything. I've seen lots of videos on Youtube of where the subject is being tracked around the frame. When I try, I have to keep the subject in the middle of the frame (I'm on AF-C)...
Unfortunately I received a phone call from the repair company today and they said that Sigma can’t supply the part for the lens as it has been discontinued. That’s a pain.
Anyone recommend a repair company that may be able to help?
The IQ on those looks pretty great tbh. I downloaded DxO PureRaw a couple of weeks ago and am currently trialling it.
Is this the one you're using? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-SEL100400GM-100-400-F4-5-5-6-Telephoto/dp/B071RFR318?th=1
I'd need 2.8 for evening games as the floodlights are...
Hi Anand, thank you for the offer, I just might have to take you up on it. Whereabouts are you? In an ideal world, I'd like to test it on my regular footy but can meet somewhere closer if it's an issue. It'd more or less be on a Saturday afternoon. Failing that, we could do a bit of bird...
Thank you all for the feedback. The reason that I ask is that I've had a go on an A9 for football and the AF was amazing. However, I didn't think the image quality was as good as my D5. I shoot a lot of evening games at 12800 iso, 1000th and wide open at 2.8 on my Sigma 120-300 lens. I've tried...
Does anybody use the Sony A1 for football? I use my Nikon D5 setup for football and my Olympus E-M1X setup for birding/wildlife.
Just wondering if it is great for football too, then I could have one system for both genres  I've looked around the 'net but can't find much info.
I use the Sigma 120-300 2.8 lens on my D5. It's a great lens for low-light as I shoot a lot of non-league footy.
I bought it from MPB a couple of years ago but the AF motor has just failed (which I'm not too happy about). I've had to revert to my 70-200 2.8 whilst it's being repaired and it's...

Elmley is a great spot and I go there often. You have a long drive down a track to the reserve (once you've gone through the pay point) and its about a mile and a half long. In the spring it's absolutely amazing! It's like a bird safari park with plenty to offer. Last time I went was...
I agree wholeheartedly! I love the detail he squeezes out of each shot.
Thanks. The fox visited our garden a few times (over a few days) a while ago and it was lovely to photograph it stretched out on the lawn. It must be quite tame as it even came up to the window, which is how I got the...
