    Taking shots of stars

I've got that exact timer, and it seems pretty good. Only thing is, I sometimes forget to set the camera to "bulb" for the shutter speed, and switch off the 2sec delay if I've been using it. Both are user errors though! I need to practice night skies too. :) Sent from my HTC Desire using TP Forums

What is the best SD card ?

The best one, is the one full of cracking photos! :D I use Transcend class 10 SDHC cards myself. I've got a 16GB and a load of 8GB cards. Look on Amazon or My Memory. Others will probably suggest other makes but, these are working well for me. Lifetime warranty too... Sent from my HTC Desire...

Where do you buy lenses from? Nifty fifty issue.

I bought one from 'photodigital' on eBay for £74 without any problems the other week, and it's fine. Price included delivery via DPD as well.

    Pouch Wallet for 84mm x 110mm Filters

It's the Hitech's I've got too. As a CD is 12cm (full size CD that is), and the Hitech's are ~85x85 (for standard NDs), and ~110x85 (for grad NDs), they fit nicely in the CD wallet, and with lined pockets, they shouldn't scratch the filters either. I keep a hard-copy of an exposure chart in...

    Pouch Wallet for 84mm x 110mm Filters

I use a CD wallet for my square filters. A 12 disc one holds all mine and much easier to get one out to use. :) I got two for a couple of quid delivered on ebay. Sent from my HTC Desire using TP Forums

    Android app

Yes, search for "talk photography" and you'll spot it. My phone's running 2.2 but, this isn't the latest. It's 2.3 (gingerbread) ;)

    Android app

I should've said, you can search with your PC on the official Android Market too but, I prefer AppBrain myself. https://market.android.com/

    HTC Desire question......

Standard options only go as far as making the timeout a maximum of 30 mins. As suggested, you'd need to find an app in the market to disable it fully. I use Tasker to automate a lot of stuff on my phone, and that has the option in there. So, for example, if I've got it connected to my PC, I...

    Android app

Get "AppBrain Android Market" installed, makes it far easier to find new stuff to try out. ;) The Desire's a cracking phone... I just have to wait until Nov before I can upgrade to whatever new HTC Android model's available then! :D The missus has already claimed this one for when I'm done...

    Calling Linux Users?

I've been playing with a trial version of Bibble Pro 5: http://bibblelabs.com/ That seems pretty close to LR3 - I think anyway (not really used LR3 much to be honest). It's not open-source though - it's a commercial product they want money for :cuckoo:

    GIMP discussion

Another Linux type here! Apart from cropping, and scaling, I don't tend to do much in GIMP yet but, there's a few tricks I've read on here that I wouldn't mind trying when I get some time - things like using layers to blend two images at different exposures (say when exposing for the land in...
