I have this lens and have been looking for a new tripod myself. Similar budget to yours as well but it looks like im going to have to spend a bit more. The feisol CT-3342 seems to tick all the boxes and i will probably go for the rapid version of this one when its back in stock...

Which firmware are you using, it says in the description of v1.2.5 Fixed a phenomenon in which there were cases where "Err 02" appeared when repeatedly shooting still images with specific CF cards.
