    FTP Problems - any ideas?

Hi Karl, Thanks for that. Just tried it with quick round trip and no lost data at all. I'm stumped. I tried sending from my work but our network blocks all ftp to the outside world. Any further thoughts from anyone appreciated.

    FTP Problems - any ideas?

I've recently started to see a problem that does not seem to be related to any change of process , hardware or software. I create web galleries using either Lightroom with Juicebox or Redrex plug ins or just Juicebox alone. A percentage of the jpegs I upload are corrupted showing horizontal...

    Another Big Stopper problem?

Yes the D700 has an eyepiece blind. I promise to use it in future.........

    Another Big Stopper problem?

Just had amazing fast response from Lee tech support. They confirm it as light leak through viewfinder and past mirror. It seems that on D700 at least, the seal provided by the raised mirror is theoretical rather than functional. Thanks for help everyone, that looks like problem sorted pending...

    Another Big Stopper problem?

I had thought that once the mirror was up the path from viewfinder was closed?, so no, never bothered...... I'll see if I can replicate the issue and try with finder closed.

    Another Big Stopper problem?

I'm having trouble tracking down what's going wrong with a significant selection of photos taken with my Lee Big Stopper. Many instances on different days and different lighting exhibit a common flaw. This takes the form of a central pink streak with some additional parallel banding. the streak...

    Carrying filters...and stuff

Hi, I've only got 4 filters (3x ND Grad and Big Stopper) three rings and one holder. Would it help to post photos of them in S&F pouch and the ThinkTank bag?

    Carrying filters...and stuff

The Lowepro item I mentioned the S&F Utility Pouch. It doesn't open as wide at the top and doesn't hold as much but is sbetter fit on the wider part of the waist belt.

Woohoo I got My Sigma 10-20mm

Good for you, you'll love it all. I hate couriers with a vengence when they claim to ahve tried to deliver. usually it means you're the furthest drop on their route and if they fib then can leave it for another day. Parcel force are usually pretty good however.

    Carrying filters...and stuff

Horses for courses but if carrying outside the main bag, I like the Think Tank Speed Changer If you take the inner dividers out it takes Lee filter pouches nicely. if you are more static than moving I sometimes use the Speed Demon swung round to the front, this makes an easy working platform...

Help me choose a landscape set up

BTW I know samples vary but my 16-35mm is better than the 18mm (AI) 20mm (AI/AFD) and 24mm (AI/S, AFD) that I've owned.

    UV Filter, for protection.

It really doesn't take that much to damage a front element. I'm sorry but cleaning with a cloth, a small bit of grit or sand and even some metal fitments all stratch lenses. Trying to clean a front element that has been outdoors is fraught. As I say, filter degradation is a forum issue. Look at...

Help me choose a landscape set up

The Nikon 16-35mm is stunning. Add that to a D700 and you'll be smiling all the way.
