    Mini DV transfer

I did not! Many things got in the way (notably my health, which now says use your time to get these memories saved). On Mini-DV alone, I have over 40 tapes, so paying someone to transfer them totalled over £350, and that was the cheapest I could find. The Sony camcorder I have just won't...

    VHS-C copy to PC

Hello all... Can't see this really covered anywhere else... Does anyone currently have a decent set-up for transferring from VHS-C tapes to a PC? I used to have an HP Pavillion PC and had bought one of those devices with software from eBay, but after that PCs demise, I haven't been able to use...

    Mini DV transfer

Hello I've lost a lot of our home video due to a PC loss, and want to transfer them to a Mac now... It's a Sony DV camcorder, but I don't seem to be able to transfer/capture on the Mac. I've purchased a new DV to USB firewire cable... but anyone any suggestions as to my next steps?

    London Battersea Power Station

The power station is an awesome subject to photograph. I've loved the station since Alton Towers bought it... and have visited whilst it was in a state of dereliction. When I visited a few months ago, I just sat watching the world go by for about an hour. It's sad that its now 30% shopping...

    APS processing

Excuse my ignorance, but once processed, do the APS cartridges literally just hold 'normal' negatives... So could I open myself and scan..?

    APS processing

Hi - not sure if this is the correct forum for this question, but... Is anyone aware whether you can still get photographs printed from APS cartridges? Similarly, can you now get these images transferred to CD/digital?

    Photoshop CS4 upgrade question

thought that was such a good idea... checking my Adobe account, but as I didnt register the original Photoshop (it was my Bro), I couldn't get the product key from there... NOW. I've spent five hours online chatting to Adobe Support... trying to access a challenge code from the software...

    Photoshop CS4 upgrade question

I've recently lost everything from my PC - had to have it rebuilt, and essentially erased. Fortunately, I did have all images backed up, however, software is an issue... I bought Photoshop CS4 as an upgrade to an old version I had. Once I upgraded, I disposed of the old discs, and now...

    Hello from Cheshire/North Wales

I've been a member on here for some time, but right now, I cannot remember the last time I logged in. Therefore, I'm saying "Hi" all over again. I own a Sony a200, and whilst "yes" I can take some nice photos with it, I do no more than that (though I've done a little removal of colour type...

    iPhoto orientation

That's it, I can't rotate it in iPhoto - cause it opens it in an upright position. I feel like I'm being really thick!

    iPhoto orientation

That's the thing though... in the camera a Portrait is just that, upright... When opened in any software, it's upright... But, as a thumbnail it's a portrait laying on its side, and if used on like the screensaver, it's also showing as a portrait laying on its side?!

    iPhoto orientation

I wonder if anyone can help. I'm importing my images direct onto my mac from a Sony a200. I notice though, that if I'm taken a Portrait orientated pic, it stays on its side in iPhoto. If I open the image, it opens upright, but when I close it, it's back on its side. Consequently, as an...

    Chester & Cheshire

Hello both - thanks for your replies, and to Ian, who messaged me privately. Yes, I imagine it does seem like we're saying "give us your fantastic images for free" and yes, I guess we are to some degree. However, in this digital age, it's also fantastic to be able to invite people to...
