Individual clubs will differ. I take my D90 most weeks and have never had a problem.

It will not autofocus on the D40 but is a good lens, IMO. Worth bidding to about £75 - £80

Del boy has a full stock of cameras at his stall this weekend strangely enough. These are state of the art cameras as used by NASA on their trip to Mars. Feel the quality. Who will give me a monkey ?

Can I ask why you are upgrading mate ? Your shots with the D40 are excellent.

I am talking about the cheapo ones on Amazon which, as you say, are really only adaptors. Just for a bit of fun tbh
