Virgin's online storage and back up was mentioned on an earlier thread. Rather than hijack the previous thread I thought I would start a new one.
Has anyone used this and is it worthwhile ?

I get unlimited access for free.

It's limited by the upload speed you have, which even on the 50Mb service is 1.5Mb. It's too slow to be used as a backup service, you're looking at 2 hours to upload 1GB.

I take it they have deliberately made it slow in order that you can continue to use the internet whilst your files are uploading all day ?
TBH, I don't have a huge amount to back up but i certainly would not like to lose what i have

No, it's because of the speed the link uploads at, nothing to do with their servers.

On Virgin's 50Mb service, you get 1.5Mb upload, so even maxed out it will take 2 hours to upload 1GB of data. On lower services, your upload speed is further reduced, so it would take even longer.
