    B&W 110 Filter

If you have mirror lock-up, use that. I find it massively improves sharpness.

George Lazenby as James Bond - So Under-rated!

Tim Dalton is the darkest Bond, with character flaws that match the 007 of the Fleming books. That makes him the greatest in my eyes.

Climbing Snowdon for the first time...

Yep the girlfriend is a serious climber, went up Crib Goch when she was 11 or something, and absolutely forbade us to go that route! Thanks for the Pyg/Miner suggestion, will give that a serious look.

Climbing Snowdon for the first time...

...recommend a path, and some nice photo opportunities! Bear in mind my friend and I aren't uber-hardcore walkers and I don't think either of us can handle Crib Goch ;). After a bit of reading I was thinking up Rhyd Ddu and down Snowdon Ranger, but would love some suggestions from people who've...

Spec me a new tripod ball head (£50)

Looking for decent upgrade to my cheap Hama which is great with 4/3 and u4/3 gear, but the ball head starts to struggle with a 5D on it. Will be using primarily with 5D and small manual glass. Getting a bit overwhelmed with the options available - anyone got specific suggestions :p?

Budget wide angle for Canon Full Frame

Or, go for a manual OM or Contax Zeiss lens. Very small, excellent image quality, pretty cheap - but obviously they're manual focus. If you use the lens for landscapes and street shooting (to an extent) then it doesn't matter too much.

Gotye - Somebody that I used to know - Collection (brilliant)

The female artist in the original, kimbra, is absolutely epic. Check out the studio versions of her work on youtube ("good intent" especially)!

    Should doctors strike?

^I didn't mean you were both. You said you were a consultant. I was asking if you were a 'doctor' consultant, as opposed to a 'management' consultant. You sound and write (not just from your opinions) rather a lot like the latter, very little like the former, and my BS meter was going off.

    Should doctors strike?

    You're a doctor + a consultant? :shake:

    Should doctors strike?

I don't know where to start. Firstly, nice attitude mate, pretty obnoxious. Secondly, utterly, utterly clueless. Apart from the bit where you basically learn and are examined on the entire degree content of human physiology, anatomy and biochemistry. Of course there's a blip, what do you...

Right Angle Viewer for Street Photography

A right angle hotshoe viewfinder? What kind of camera are you using? You can easily get right angle viewfinders for any SLR. They slot onto where the viewfinder eyepiece sits.

Canon 5D MK I 'classic' - owners thread

Pray excuse the little plug. Just picked up a 5D classic, and I intend to use it purely as a manual focus body. Wrote a little blog post on it here. Will be adding a bunch of content on the manual focus experience, extensive tests of the EE-s focusing screen, and stuff on various manual lenses...

    Fuji x100

Hey Rob, if you don't want to spend a tonne of money, Hama traveller mini pro has served me well in the past with an SLR. Pretty sturdy, ~750g and comes with carry case. Wouldn't use it for bulb mode exposures though, a few minutes is fine.
