I too find that both the 1.4TC and the 1.7TC will autofocus perfectly satisfactorily with the 500 F4 although I agree with Martyn that it does take a bit of practice to find the subject. I do find that the 1.7TC does slow down the autofocus noticeably but it usualy succeeds in locking on.
I agree as well. To support this I took a picture of a bus once in Sweden and it only showed part of the display despite me seeing the full area. In this case my shutter speed must have been faster than the display rate on the bus.
LR2.6 is working fine on my pc running W7 64, in fact it really flies compared to when I had XP. However mine was a new computer with a clean install so it seems likely that the problem has something to do with the upgrade from your previous OS.
Thanks you for all your replies. I must confess I am still a bit confused. If you consider a full frame camera then it seems that a lens of about 5 to 8 mm will produce a circular image giving an angle of view approaching 180 degrees; that is what I called a fisheye image (rightly or wrongly)...
Can anyone enlighten me as to why the Nikkor 16mm is called a fish eye lens when the wider 14mm is called a super wide angle lens? As far as I can see they both fill a FF sensor.
