70-200 f2.8 = reportage and shooting from back of the Church, I also use this lens for on location portraits.

Slow down a bit, start off slow and see if you enjoy it before you consider it as a profession. Making money from photography is a little bit more than point and shooting.

Try converting the same image to B/W first, you can then push the limit of the contrast.

Any Mac is going to be far better than a MS based machine. I have a fully loaded Macbook pro which is awsome. It does take a couple of weeks to get used to the different O/S but you will not regret it.
