hey guys, this is my first post, had a look round the forum,looks like you guys know your stuff :thumbs:

i want to get into photography as a profession but dont now anything about cameras or jobs ect ect, just wondering what i would need to do like, collage or anything?

also, is this a good camera to start out with, good price ect?

Slow down a bit, start off slow and see if you enjoy it before you consider it as a profession. Making money from photography is a little bit more than point and shooting.
 
Agree as above.

You need to learn how a Digital SLR works before you can even look into making it a profession.

The camera you posted is a good starting point as it comes with a kit lens which will be fine to learn with.

Best thing to do is look at some online tutorials or buy a DSLR general book.

There is so much to learn.........exposure, focus, apature, shutter speed.............the list goes on.

Once you have mastered how to use the camera itself, you could look at buying better lenses.

Photography as a hobby is expensive but as a profession is gonna cost $$$$$
