Yeah me too - I've struggled with ideas since I've been back to work. But it's great to have all the support from you guys
Yea bloody work gets in the way of all the fun lol, I find it really hard on work days as I don't get the time to go anywhere, I can't take photos at work (company policy), not enough time at lunch time to get anywhere (30 minutes lunch breaks suck) then I usually come straight home to walk the dog by which time Im too tired to be going to far wouldn,t be to bad if I had transport but relying on buses etc. it isn't going to happen especially not in this weather, So I'm pretty much limited to either around my area which isn't the most photogenic place or in the house.
Anyway I picked a great day to do a long exposure left work and it wasn't a bad night not to cold and fairly calm, went out with the dog about an hour ago and its windy as hell. Posting 2 shots the planned one which didn't work and the unplanned one which erm also didn't work to well lol.
The planned one this is just down the road from me I pass it everyday when I walk the dog, and It looks pretty cool when it's all lit up at night. Never actually took a shot of it before so I went out tonight and set up the tripod damn wind was so strong I had to hold on to the tripod to keep it steady, could have done with something to hold onto me to keep me steady too it was that windy lol, hence it's a bit blurry. Also took the wrong lens I think, took my 14mm sigma which I haven't used for about 6 months and I think it was a little to wide to get a decent composition.
Shot 2, this is the path I walk my dog along at least 3 times a day sick of the sight of it tbh, but it can be nice and peaceful at night if the weathers not to bad, I tried to portray the difference between the path at either side of the bridge where I took the shot from has a bit of light, but once you get a little way past the bridge in the distance it is pitch black for about 50 yeards so dark in fact that sometimes I can't see the dog when hes on the leader 2 foot in front of me. Needless to say I dont think this shot worked out to well either.
Ah well thats why I'm doing this to try and improve and learn from my mistakes, hopefully I will.
Anyway sorry about the long post and thanks for looking.
