If light is adequate then I can't imagine any reason why the 450D couldn't produce the same results as the 5D. The more expensive cameras are a lot easier to use, however, at least on the nikon side and I assume on the canon side too.

What strikes me is that nobody has mentioned or questioned why the tog might have chosen to use a 450 for reasons other than the technical output. Maybe the tog prefers to use a smaller body more akin to the size and shape of a 35mm film SLR? Don't forget, all these pro bodies being listed are big buggers, maybe this tog finds that a smaller body is easier to handle or less intimidating for the subjects?

At the end of the day, the tog's the important one. Providing their work stacks up who cares if it's been shot on a Lomo?

A friend of mine has been into photography for years and has just spent thousands upgrading his equipment. He, bless him, cannot take a decently composed photograph to save his life! :shake:

Equipment is no substitute for talent/ability.

I detest the ‘Celeb’ culture so my choice of equipment to 'shoot' them with would be a Colt 45.
