Worst case of speeding I have witnessed.

It begs the question how often some of you guys look in the mirrors when driving, it really does !

You are entitled to your opinion as well as anyone else, I do not have to agree, and others do not, with your opinion comes an inference that I do not drive safely.

I have been driving 40 years now, not one speeding ticket/conviction.

Only two not at fault accidents, one where a driver pulled out on me at a roundabout and another were I was very lucky to have survived a head on collision due to someone overtaking in the opposite direction, I was travelling at 60 plus whatever speed the other driver was doing.

Both, although did not involve using rear view mirrors, could not have been avoided.

I consider myself a safe driver.

To be frank a high percentage of vehicles on the road are not driven safely and to quote that you have no convictions just means you have not been caught doing anything wrong.

You have been driving 40 years, great, perhaps its time to get a refresher course in ?

Please do not take this personally but some of the comments on this thread are just funny !

You would have passed where the deer had run out into the road at 100mph and run straight into it at 70mph

This comment FTW  It is funny from a couple of angles!

Are you just being trying to gain a reaction from me with your comments?, I suggest you read the rules regarding conduct towards other members.:rules:

Nope not trying to gain a reaction at all, report me if you have an issue, I have not edited any of my comments in this thread so if the mods feel it needs trimming so be it.

I spend all day everyday on the road and will take any advice I am given, I have before now sought out extra training and will again in the future, this is to help safeguard myself and other road users.

Perhaps after 40 years on the road a refresher will do you good, that is all.

Which ones?

Lets just say I have been amused by some peoples comments to what is a very serious subject, none of us are perfect but if one person that has read this thread looks in their mirrors more often then its helped, if someone seeks out additional training great.

It seems folk are getting a little sensitive now so I will butt out, don't forget those lifesavers folks !

Ok then, let's just say you are not trying to gain a reaction, let's go on.
As said I consider myself a safe driver, and over 40 years I have seen substantial change in the volume of traffic and the the supporting road infrastructure. Over those 40 years I have adapted to the change in conditions.
During that period, I repeat,I have never had an at fault accident or speeding ticket/conviction. I will not say I never speed, the only time I do is when I am travelling overnight to take advantage of the quiet motorways and that would be not be above 80mph on the speedometer which is only 75mph according to my sat nav, other than that I never break the speed limits.
Can you give me good reason why you recommend I should take a refresher course? If you yourself have also sought extra training (refresher course?) what in your opinion is the criteria for needing a refresher course?

Oh well that's the end of that discussion :)

For some really stupid and inexplicable reason, I read the title of this thread as 'worst case of SPELLING have ever seen' ...... :bonk:

I think I need sleep!
