Thanks Robbottom photo - Looks like the Roller thrust bearing set and Pan spool so I would also think top photo the Pan tightening screw ,bell spring washer and Plastic washer are also missing .
Rob.
Thanks Rob
I knew it must be a bearing or bush missing.cant believe its been checked and classed as excellent condition, quite a few marks and scratches also, but the main part missing being over looked astounds me.

A well thought of retailer normally with good reviews for used gear.
Excellent not
I think so,along with the marks it looks like the black paint has gone a weird green shade like copper goes in places. How can they miss the main mount missing on inspection after buying it as a trade in and then on packing it up. Not sure I'll be using them on any future purchases.Shocking!
It looks like the whole of the bottom rotating/panning base is missing. There is no way to attach that to a tripod in its current state. In the condition its in a more accurate description would be 'spares or repair', there is no way that can be sold as functioning in good condition. Definitely a return and refund job with them paying the return postage.
Exactly parts only and not very good ones.I'd send it back and request another. I've heard of things like this before where used items have not been as described and the retailer not having another used so sent out a new one as a replacement. Got nothing to lose by asking!
It gets mentioned on here a fair bit for trade ins and people wanting to sell lenses and bodies.I so want to ask!

Yep,have seen good reports on here of their service and used gear.Any thoughts on what it would be worth paying for it in its current condition ?.Not good, seem to be letting it slip recently!

Parts could be shipped in from US for around £120 inc shipping and import tax, could do with a rub down and respray also. Its obviously had a long hard life.
Cheers Gramps,I have seen the one on the bay he's sold a couple already to the US.TBH I'm not sure I would want to repair it myself, the whole gain with a Wimberley gimbal is it's stability and smoothness which might well be lost trying a self-repair.
I would keep looking, I picked up a good Mk1 for a lot less than the usual Mk2 price ... eBay shows a new one in Morocco for around £350 if you want to try abroad but they do come up from time to time 2nd hand.
