Where is the no built in motor clue lie? I see so many sigma 2.8 d DG ex HSM OEM lenses... Or a combination of these... I know the 35 1.8g will work, the d won't.. But when you get DG it's confusing lol.No built in motor on the body or lens but for macro MF is better IMO
I doubt you've seen D and HSM on the same lens. D after the aperture is exactly the same as for a native Nikon lens so no motor. DG means it's full-frame as opposed to DC for APS-C.H

Also this lens has an aperture ring and the current model, effectively a G lens, doesn't.
