I've been eyeing up a Nikkor 70-200mm f2.8 for a while but I've decided not to bother at the moment. I don't think my ability is up to the layout and also don't think I can bring myself to pay so much at the moment.
I like to take my camera out walking trying to snap wildlife and have up to now been using a Nikkor 70-300 VR lens and thought it might be a better idea for now to get some more range.
So now I'm looking at a 120-400 f5.6 OS Sigma, I know I'm going to miss the extra stops of the f2.8 but I would need to add a 2xTC to get the same length there by reducing it down to f5.6 and reducing the sharpness a touch.
So after all my waffle, would I regret the Sigma. I think it should be enough to tide me over for a couple of years until my ability catches up with my kit. What ya think ?
Cheers.
