Hi folks.
Camera set up wise I have 2 Canon 40d's and a 5D Mk2.
I also own a Sigma 10-20mm lens.
After reading something a while ago about some EF-S lenses damaging the mirrors in FF cameras, I've always kept the 10-20 on the 40d rather than the 5Dmk2.
However, I have just been reading something else that says this lens WONT damage the mirror as it is ONLY Canon EF-S mounted lenses that do this and the 10-20 lens will work - albeit with a little vignetting up until about 16mm, but fine after that to 20mm.
So, I have two questions ....
1. Has anyone tried a 10-20mm on a 5dMk2 and is it ok ?
2. What (Similar priced) alternatives do I have if not?
I should also add that my widest lens on the 5dmk2 is currently the 24-105 f4L. I also own a Tamron SP AF 17-50 xr di ii ld lens but have never had this on the 5dmk2 either .... could I ?
Thanks in advance.
