wicker_man's 365 Project for 2010 **Finally Up To Date!**

My umbrella and speedlite adapter bracket arrived today, which enables me to turn my 580EX flashgun into a studio umbrella light! Today's photo was taken whilst testing it, mounted on my tripod and fired using wireless flash triggers.

Today's photo is of my new Sabian Pro Sonix 14" hi hats. They replaced some rubbish unbranded ones which came with my drum kit.

Today, I helped with some gardening at my grandparent's house. Today's photo is of the lawnmower after I used it to cut the grass.

Today's photo is of my measure tape. I did intend on using my 50mm f1.8 for today's photo, as I haven't used it for a while, but this photo worked better using my 10-20mm (at 10mm of course!)

Today's photo is of my Buzz Lightyear Pez dispenser. I got it when I went to Disneyland (Paris) with the uni photo society back in April '09.

Today's photo is of my old Apple PowerMac G4 Cube. It is about 10 years old, yet still works perfectly. I love Apple's designs from the G4 era, and the Cube remains one of my favourites (along with the G4 iMac).

Today's photo is of some sand from the Sahara Desert. We went on a trip there whilst on holiday in Tunisia back in 2005.

The measure, great shot, nice lighting and angle ;)
Thanks, but to be honest that was a very last minute photo, and it was lit with bounce flash off a wall at the top of the frame (camera was facing down towards the floor).

Today's photo is a macro of the Command key on my Apple keyboard.

Today's photo is of an insect which was spotted in the kitchen earlier today. It looked like a leaf at first glance!

Today's photo is of a plug. It is a bit random, but I needed a quick subject to experiment with lighting.

Today's photo is of my new Apple MacBook Pro, which arrived earlier today. It is the 15" model with a matte 1680x1050 screen, Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB RAM and a 500GB 7200rpm hard drive. Yep, it's a beast :D

Today's photo is of the wheel of my bike. I got my bike checked and repaired yesterday, and gave it a clean today so it is ready to take to uni in a couple of weeks.

Today's photo is of an ice cube, which was melting on the kitchen worktop.

Today's photo is of the zips on a suitcase. We are going on holiday to Gran Canaria tomorrow, so I won't be uploading anything until we get back in a week!

Here's the full set of photos from my recent holiday to Gran Canaria:

Today we are back home in England, where weather is in the 10s, not the 30s!

Today's photo is of a fork which was chained to the display in Ikea.

Today's photo is of a glass of water on the kitchen worktop.

I hadn't listened to any vinyl for a while, so I decided to put on Saxon's Wheels Of Steel.

Today's photo is of my Gorillapod flexible tripod. It is the original small version, so it can't support my 40D but it is great for my LX1!

Today's photo is of my Canon 20D, I purchased it a short while ago as a second/backup body to accompany my 40D. It may be 6 years old, but it's still a great camera!

Today's photo is of the display on my AV surround receiver. It is *** certified, which means it is up to the standards created by George Lucas.

EDIT: Hmm, it looks like George Lucas' standard seems to be automatically changed into asterisks!

Today I packed my stuff up to move back to Portsmouth tomorrow. Monkey decided to help.

I know I haven't posted here for about 2 months, that's due to it taking so long to get our internet connection activated in our uni house, and being so busy lately (that's what you get for being in the final year of a master's degree in civil engineering and president of the uni photography society!)

Anyway, I now need to post 2 months worth of photos. I can only do 6 per post, so it may take a while. Here goes!

Hey dude,
Sorry not dropped by for a while, lifes hectic ;)
First great to see your still hard at it, well done! Second, some nice images there - ones that stood out for me are:
HARD ROCK - awesome shot!
AEROPLANE WING - nice,
COWBOY - cool
SCANNER - something about it, nice shot
JIM BEAM - good, but I would prefer a simple one colour backdrop

Thanks Dade, no worries I totally understand. I have lost track of everybody's 365's and 52's that I was following, need to have a big catch up some time. But first I need to get the rest of mine posted, a good 50+ more photos to post here!

(265/365) Wheels Of Steel
Today was the first day of freshers fayre, and being president of the photo society, I was on the stall all day. It was pretty tiring, but we signed up a good number of members and it went very well!

Today's photo is of the wheel of a motorbike, from the biker society.

(266/365) Freshers Fayre, Day 2
Today was the second day of freshers fayre, and the weather was not so good today. It was raining in the morning, so things got off to a slow start.

Today's photo is of the electric fire in our lounge.

(283/365) It Goes To 10
Today was 10/10/10, so I thought I'd take a photo of something with to 10, the volume dial on my guitar amp. It would have been nice if it went to eleven, but then I would have had to find a different subject!

(284/365) The Railway
Today I was shooting Bowling for Soup at the Southampton Guildhall. When I arrived, my name wasn't on the photo pass list, so after waiting for the promoter and explaining to him, I finally got in (but I missed the first band.)

Today's photo was taken at Southampton Central railway station, looking on the tracks from the bridge just after sunset.

(285/365) Green Goblin
Today's photo is of a bottle of Green Goblin cider. It was taken whilst in the pub after a Photo society meeting.

(286/365) Recycle For Portsmouth
Today's photo is of a recycling bin pencil sharpener I got at Freshers Fair, for ordering a recycling box for our house!

(287/365) Spatula
Today, my Dad came down, we went to the pub for a few drinks and then to an Indian restaurant. Today's photo is the result of not taking a photo all day, and then realising before bed that I need to take a picture of something. So, after some quick hunting around the house I found my spatula in the kitchen. Subject = sorted!

(288/365) Coloured Pencils
Today's photo is of some coloured pencils.

again, great stuff :0)

the ones that worked best imo were:
Something Strange In The Washing Machine - great use of light and subject
Amplified In Red - nice, captures the feel well
Green Goblin - very cool, nice bokeh
Spatula - interesting shapes for something very simple ;)

keep at it :clap::thumbs:

Thanks again Dade, I know I am really behind with the uploading and keeping up with people's 365's but your comments are appreciated! I've got almost 2 months worth of photos to post here, which I will try and do as much as I can now!
