Why bother?

Having picked up a few comments along the way, I can say that 30 images is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many, I would get to number 5 and hit back because I just cant be arsed.

The only time (IMO) you can post more than 10 pics in a thread is for a wedding, but thats just me. Keep the image count below 4, and you'll soon get comments, good AND bad :D

It's a shame that people have ruined the idea of this thread by making it about the photos I have posted when I was specifically trying to avoid that and concentrate on how annoying it can be to get no interest whatsoever.

You'd think that having every topic covered in it's on subsection in each forum that people would've learned how this kind of forum works by now.

Oh well :(

The first reply DD made indicated that he appricated some of the shots and that you could PP a bit to improve more of them. PP means a lot of things, for me, a simple crop is still PP. How about you? (And yes, a few crops here and there could really improve the images you posted.)

He did not initially dismiss them regardless of what you have convinced yourself, and if you actually go back and read the first few posts you will only realise that it was after the attitude you chucked back that things went downhill.

Nope but it would've been nice to see a remark or two.

I've posted a number of threads of the same iolk, obviously from different matches and they've had replies so when I looked at the forum after I got in from work earlier and saw no replies I thought "Why bother"? Hence the creation of this thread :)

He may be a professional photographer but is he a professional sports or football photographer ?

If so, then in keeping with the preferred forum ethos that regulars so often harp on about, maybe DD should offer some constructive criticism as to why he believes Tigers images are "no good" !?!

If not, then IMO I don't believe DD is better placed to judge a good football photo from a bad one.

there is a limit of 10 pics per post for a reason. no need for 30+ images

I'm sure it's 21. I had a browse through my gallery, picked out the ones in chronological order that I thought were interesting, added a caption or description and then pasted them into the forum with links back to flickr as their t&c's request.

Believe it or not it takes quite a while to create a thread like that, hence the reason I was disappointed that no-one commented.

Agree with him regarding the quality of my photos? Maybe you'd care to crit them in the appropriate thread and I'll be happy to try to amend my ways.

They are cropped. I take cropping and sharpening as read. I consider his suggestion of tweaking the levels as OTT.

I didn`t share the admin guys love of chrsitmas ,New Years eve nor any of the festive period.

Before that I was "newbie botherer" ,after a difference of opinion with somebody,and before that, my first one, was "otter botherer"......:shrug:

coming on here and "blowing your own trumptet" isn't a good thing

top notch pics? some are ok yes, but if there so "top notch" where are the premier league pics?

couple of crit - pic 1, someones hair? i cant see the point, its football, pic 4 would look better with the ref cropped out, will look through the rest in abit

he made a suggestion as to what he thinks can be improved, so stop goading him. He doesnt like them, get over it.

If you want comments, post less, if you want critique, stick 1 in crit.

I think the original question has probably being answered a few times over now, and now it seems people are just popping in to have a random dig.

This also isn't really the place for comments on the photos ;)
