No, it was a screw on filter. Wide open at 70mm it was OK, but at 300mm it just didn't work. The quality of glass was just not there, and the higher magnification/smaller field of view brought out the deficiencies of that model of polariser.Are you sure you didn't mount the Cokin CPL backwards? that would kill AF from many cameras. Screw on filters are hard to mount backwards but slot in types are very easy!
