It's not just tax they should be insured as I said before. It's not always the motorist that is wrong.
Oh god.
Ok I am old style so are bikes. They should contribute.
And?The junction has a priority box for cyclists to be at the front of the traffic doesn't it?
As someone else said above, home insurance can cover cyclists. Some who take it more seriously take out dedicated cover.
Can cover damage to others by members of your household, not just cyclists. Neighbours son smashed my car light years ago playing street hockey.Does that cover damage the cyclist may do to others or just the cyclists injuries/damage? Obviously I only mean in context of cyclist at fault incidents otherwise the vehicle insurance would.
Amazing restraint from the driver but the biker IMO needs to be in prison.
I'm all for the law being applied equally but (again, IMO) cyclists get off with behaving very badly far too often.
There is a description below the video for those who need guidance before judgement.
I held onto him as he starts punches as I am out of the cab. I was holding on till the cops came.
So what, in your opinion, did I do wrong behind the wheel?Again we'll have to take your word for that, but the video hardly makes you out to be a saint behind the wheel.
you both fight like girls![]()
Nopedid he pull you from the cab?
How can you "safely move back in?" AKA "find someone who has left a safe space between the vehicle in frount and occupy it" Nearly took out a total (deleted) moped rider who came on my offside, then without warning made a left hand turn while I was in motion - straight across my bowsI find the right is the best place to filter past slow traffic if you use your brain. No different to a motorcycle, you just keep an eye on their mirrors and alway make sure you can safely move back in.

lets see..So what, in your opinion, did I do wrong behind the wheel?
and yet another another reason for me to hate cyclists even more than i do now ,i think you showed restraint there phil ,personally i would have just decked the t*** ,put his bike under the truck and driven over it .
He was pulling away from a set of traffic lights not pulling out from the kerb. I'm sorry but if a cyclist has put themselves in close proximity to a vehicle and isn't safe, it's the cyclist that is wrong and not the driver.lets see..
not checking your mirrors before pulling away (unless you saw him and proceeded anyway?)
generally a good idea to check anyway, motorbikes are a bit of a pain for appearing on the right out of nowhere. He was pulling away from a set of traffic lights not pulling out from the kerb. I'm sorry but if a cyclist has put themselves in close proximity to a vehicle and isn't safe, it's the cyclist that is wrong and not the driver.
and i'm sure no motorist has EVER exceeded the speed limit lolPersonally, I think if anybody is trying to pin equal blame on the driver they are just out for typical TP argument.
And those that say that drivers are worse than cyclists - how many cars do you see driving down the pavements? (I say this as a driver and cyclist)
It certainally looks like you "nudged" him and his bike when he came in front of you at the lights and you certainally started the second bout of handbags when all he wanted to do was get away
Now exactly where in my quote did i say he was, and while were at it you might want to ask Phil if there was any actual criminal damage caused because nowhere in this thread does he say so one way or the otherRegardless of whether the OP was blameless or not - which we can't see - on what planet is the cyclist entitled to cause criminal damage and carry out an assault?
The second bout was a citizens arrest for assault. It certainally looks like you "nudged" him and his bike when he came in front of you at the lights and you certainally started the second bout of handbags when all he wanted to do was get away
