He's obviously into all the foreign muck Marc ;):D

Chinese for me. Partly as we have a good one in the village, local fish & chips are not all that (but take me to Aldeburgh and fish and chips wins hands down!).

One of my quirks is that I love chinese takeaways and not so keen on eat in, but love Indian eat in but not so keen on indian takeaways!!!

I can sort of identify with that. We really enjoy the crispy duck and pancakes at home in fron of the telly but, if I'm going to have curry at home, I'd much rather make my own as it's quicker and cheaper.

No Caribbean option ... Saltfish & Ackees, Caribbean Chicken or goat curry, yummee :)
Otherwise a good Indian curry.

Curry not had one in a year need to sort that one out....... Anyone remember the TP meet in York and our Curry house experience there?

I voted for 2 - Chinese & Curry, so I just love Chinese Curry!!!!

I do indeed Terri, excellent it was as well. Naan bread the size of a sattelite dish!

Please tell me that's not a euphemism! !!

my absolute favourite takeaway is sushi but can only get it when we go down south, up here there's only curry houses and Chinese
I do love a good curry though so don't mind

I too was going to ask "where's the Sushi?" but there's no point if the poll's been posted from up North!

I ticked Curry.
We make 95% of our own food and waste very little, but I don't think that you can't beat a good curry.
My favourite is either a chicken tikka dansaak or jalfrezi done vindaloo hot - or hotter if they didn't do it right last time:LOL:

I liked a bit of Sushi when fishing the canals.

Pike in a Dock leaf - heaven.

Joking aside - I love Chinese food but Curry - a good curry - is just heaven so I'm ticking that.

Head to Akbars in Bradford/Leeds/Newcastle/Glasgow and prepared to be happy. Where there is an Akbars, there is a happy Steve

Huh?

Everything if you take the recommendation, and nothing if you don't....

But I haven't made a comment about food...nor expressed a preference. ...I'm just puzzled

On the basis of the above quotes, I thought you might be interested in a place that does massive Nan breads

Errrr...not remotely, but thanks

Akhbars is okay but nothing massively special IMO. I find most curry houses feature food tailored to western tastes rather than authenticity. One of my fave places is jyoti's in Birmingham. A fave of Jamie oliver (they seem to have his face plastered all over the place).

I find chinese food greasy and makes my stomach churn. Pizzas - will eat if in large groups eg friends over. Love fish'n'chips. Used to eat them weekly. Now eat it maybe once every two months.

Otherwise I would rather sit down in a restaurant and eat food if I fancied something.

I agree. I've been to two and neither were much to write home about.

I had my first taste of a "Parmo" in Yarm a few weeks back. Heart attack in a box, which suited me fine as I'd been to a beer festival and just wanted loads of gerase to rub on my face. My arse didn't like it the next morning, but that was probably the 12 pints of ferret whacker and giblet smasher I'd had at the festival. The 270 mile drive home was hard work.

chinese for me. Even better if its authentic chinese not western style sweet and sour chickeno_O

Sadly the only place I've had near authentic chinese style food around here is edinburgh… you can tell its good when your the only white person surrounded by chinese/asian.
