Whats on the deck -

Since getting a new amp which has a built in streamer I’m finding it hard to get vinyl on the deck, the wife has a few-well a lot- of country/americana radio stations programmed in, need to get her out the house more often so I can be ‘in charge’ of the hifi.
hence my deck is in my man cave, I am lucky to have the space to do that :)

Our hifi gets daily use(a few hours daily) so me buying a second system might cause waves, streaming means she enjoy music whilst getting on with other things without having to jump up to change sides, the novelty may wear off?

One that i have not paid much attention to before - my gut feel was American rock/country, turns out UK Blues Rock band from Birmingham ! go figure. Anyway its pretty good, happy to have a beer and throw some arrows while listening to it

so had to retire the old lawnmower as it died, had good service for many years from it but time to change, going with a battery one given the total cluster f*ck going on in the straites courtesy of king cluster f*uck - anyway, had a beer and set up the nw kid on the block to the sounds of Camel, album camel 1973 press/label, nice sounds

If you're using that Chinook as a lawnmower, it's upside down!

Enjoy the Camel.

Don't Chinooks fly upside down the ones I got in seem to fly anyway but normal

all the ones I serviced and flew in flew the right way up albeit often a bit lower than was comfortable in the falklands, those pilot kiddies loved to bounce us about !

My parents used to get Hercs flying down the valley behind their house, following the river. Apparently, that flight was nicknamed the Vomit Comet and was designed to "acclimatise" squaddies to low level evasive flight patterns!

Had time out in the man cave to clean and sharpen my axe and the chain on the chainsaw, next disc in line in the stack was this, classic track Hocus Pocus and some other good tracks -

Focus

Moving Waves - Blue Horizon label from 1971

Cleaning the chainsaw and Axe after chopping some firewood, something to listen to while cleaning up. This has to be one of my favourite albums, there is not a track on it I don't love. As for the ladys freeform vocals - gobsmacking. never ceases to move me.

Pink Floyd

Dark Side of the Moon - 1973 Harvest label Italy

That, Wish You Were Here and Ac/DC's Back in Black see me most of the way to Crete. It's often some Zappa that gets me home again. Thank the gods for noise cancelling headphones!!!

having a clear out in my atelier, its been a couple of years so the cr&p really needs sorting and dumping in the dechetterie.

A bit of Robert Palmer Addictions vol 1 to listen to while sorting helps

loading the car with the dechetterie stuff and having a general clear around - something with a bit of 'bite'

Thin Lizzie
