I agree. The OM-1 is fully manual.Dont know the camera - was it manual mode ? My gut reaction is that 1/500 and f/11 would underexpose on a cloudy day and partially undercover.
Correct,Don't beat yourself up about it. It looks like a simple error in exposure. You'll get it right next time.
not really, you have to asses the sky and try to get some indication of the brightness, it might be lovely sunny day. In which case miss the game and go take pictures, its not sunny often in Hull and they will probably lose anyway.so i sut in these seats every home game
the light meter isnt working tried batterys its just not moving
so if i was to try again next home game same seast go to F2,8 iso 400 at 1/125?
its generally dull in Ull weather wise ha
the light meter isnt moving tried new batterys just wont move its alwasy down turned the lever to on wont moveI am not trying to be clever here but have you turned the light meter on?
The small dial on the left between the rewind knob and the viewfinder?
Also note that the light meter on the OM1 is exactly that a meter, it will not automatically calculate exposure. The speed, f stop and iso have to be adjusted to enable the needle to move into the "correct exposure" region.
The lever wont move?the light meter isnt moving tried new batterys just wont move its alwasy down turned the lever to on wont move
No it moves to on off on the needle in the view don’t moveThe lever wont move?
Have you checked the wiring to the battery holder ?, it's quite common for it to corrode and break off, could be while the meter isn't working, other than that, have you put the battery in correctly? It's easy to put in upside down,No it moves to on off on the needle in the view don’t move

Using that one
There's no exposure compensation dial on the OM1,It's either under exposing or could be the Exposure compensation dial has been moved and needs to be re-adjusted.
not checked wireing as im registred blnd so cant really do that batterys i teh correct way i have also troed it both ways nothingHave you checked the wiring to the battery holder ?, it's quite common for it to corrode and break off, could be while the meter isn't working, other than that, have you put the battery in correctly? So the meter is working, when you say the needle in the middle at 1/4 of a second, what ASA and aperture are you setting??the only way i can get the needs in the middle is if i put the shutter speed 1/4 no matter what other setting i try it goes down to the bottom
ill try when i get hom ei have downloaed a light meret app and go from ther ehaif you lower SIO to 100 you should see needle go up and then increase speed to 1 sec and needle should go back to middle
Seems like the meter is out by a few stops, even though there's hardly any light coming into my office window this morning, I'm getting 1/250 @ f2.8 using ASA 400.so if i stand in the street go to F2.8 Iso 400 abd use 1/4 the needle on the mmeter will be dead centre move any of them and it drops to the bottom

Hull City on Sat against Portsmouth was 1/500th ISO 400 at F4. you were two/three stops under exposed.Hi
I took my Olympus OM-1 to hull city on Saturday using Kodak ultramax 400
Sure I shot at 1/500 iso 400 f11
And these are awful what went wrong pls full rolls the same
If the meter is that far out, you'll need to remove the top cover, and adjust the meter. It's the part that goes under the ASA dial, you'll need to loose the one silver screw, and adjust the brass coloured one,Hull City on Sat against Portsmouth was 1/500th ISO 400 at F4. you were two/three stops under exposed.
