Based on this article, it sounds like demand for the Evo 4G outside the US is so strong that HTC are considering making it available across the world under the name HTC ACE (see article below)

I wouldn't recommend one to someone who's not technical though. Apple do make the only 'smartphone for dummies'.

I do like the phone, but it's taken some tinkering to get it working how I want it (rooted/2.2 rom installed and various other tweaks). I'm happy with it all apart from the shockingly bad battery life, but at least I can carry a spare if I really need it.

...Apparently the actually did proper tests to it as well. Bit odd though that there are still some phones that aren't affected while a lot are.![]()
