A bit confusing.I think its 2gb max useable cards - I did try a 4gb in mine but think it only recognised 2gb of it.
I always presumed that the Mk1 prefix is used by users to avoid confusion with the megapixel version used (although for some reason, there are a lot of people that get really really irritated by the use of the Mk1 term :shrug& it also helps when you are describing multiple cameras, eg: 1D's as people think you mean the 1Ds

Deal of the century for you. Get a nice Scandisk Extreme III 4GB and, if it deosn't work, i'll swap it for a generic brand 2GB card that I'll acquire for you new from tescos. That way, no losers and we're both winners.

I'd agree with going for the Sandisk though as they are great cards (although I do have two Lexar cards & they seem every bit as fast)![]()
