What Made Your Day Today?

going out with my camera this evening

My 4 year old daughter coming up to me this morning saying "I love you Daddy" and then giving me a big hug

When I was younger I used to run and greet my dad with a big hug when he arrived home from work. I was the perfect height to head-butt him in the nuts every time. He still says he wouldn't have had it any other way :cuckoo:

Picking up a Manfrotto Tripod and three way head today for £30.00 :D

That only happens if she catches me unaware these days

My tooth pain made my day, i woke up this morning and it felt like my mouth was numb :(

1)Getting up this morning and knowing it was the last Tuesday for six weeks that I have to get up at 6.30 ... hoooge grin :)

2) Knowing I popped a Twix into my draw yesteday and I get to have it with coffee later :)

Managed to get my desktop computer fired up.

Turned 'puter room radio on at just the right time to catch ISIHAC.

Of course, shortly after I posted that, the bastsrd thing crashed on me, restarted then crashed again 1/2 hour later. Fortunately, I have all my photos etc backed up on external HDDs but I have a few bits of older hardware that Win7 drivers may not exist for. Will have a scout around for them for a couple of canon printers, a canon scanner and a Konica Minolta film scanner (which is likely to be a problem, although there may be a 3rd party generic driver that'll deal with it. If worst comes to worst, I can always install it on a lappy - the thing doesn't see much use so it won't be too much of a pain!)

How is the '******* thing'?

Whoops! Trust me to make a typo that looks like an attempt to bypass the swear filter!

The ######### thing just won't start up properly - gets about 30 seconds into the process then shuts down. Sometimes, repeated attempts will get it to complete the process but that's a PITA and it's easier to come down here and use the netbook (although fat fingers make typos on the little keys more likely!). I've remembered my e-mail password so can even access my mails through the webmail entrance.

Going to have to get a new main 'puter and then start worrying about drivers.

Today my day has been made by a very comical error of a year 7 student.

I am teach Sex Ed and had finished a session with year 7's on personal hygiene, in the lesson write up they had to tell me what would be an ideal start to the day in terms of personal hygiene and food.

One of the lads has written that he ‘washes his armPETs’ every morning’ … I have been sat here giggling away to myself for ages now .. I have visions of a pair of little gerbils one under each arm pit being taken out and washed …. Sooooo funny!!

Going for a walk in the rain with my daughter and having great fun jumping in puddles!

Been for the first scan of the latest addition to the wisemen household. Awesome.

The several text messages I received from my best mate telling me she really likes the gifts I sent her for her impending new addition and thanking me. Other than that my day was pants and the best thing that happened was coming home to my lovely OH

An email from Nikon saying my NPS account is now active and It's my last day for three weeks. Go to France friday morning! I can switch off now. :D

b****r. Who am I kidding. I'm self employed. I never switch off. :(

I got to watch, thanks to technology, my OH's graduation ceremony all the way from Swansea . Saw the whole thing live, as if I was there.

Finding out that our short-term contracts are being converted to permanent.

Awesome! Congrats to your OH!

Kev.

, thank you very much.

The past four years saw us all go back to school to do our post grad. degrees. It's paid off well, thank God. I just wish I was there to see the graduation live, but I'm the only one here taking care of my dad. I couldn't even make it for my own graduation last year :'(, I was so looking forward to that (crawling in front of everyone with my wobbly body :p).

Received my 70-200f4L from Kerso

That and the clitter video :lol::lol::lol::lol:

knowing that there's only one more sleep until I see the specialist

That doesn't sound too good :(, hope everything is okay ?

Didn't realise my boss was on holiday ........ until someone told me :D

Two things really (both related) getting my CRB check back and it being clear. Now being able to work with disabled adults (voluntary to start with). Also having called in there for 2hrs and making a connection with a couple of clients in that time

Buying Professor Green's album and seeing 3 tracks produced and/or written by my son :) Well done James :)

Thats a good one John. I saw that album, any good (non biased review please ;))

Not had a chance to listen to it yet I shall give it a spin tonight.

But the next single (I hope) is James' 'Monster' and that one I like :)

Ok I'm biased :D

Getting my new Tamrac Velocity 7 from the postie this morning:thumbs: - raining all day:thumbsdown:

Today's high point (so far!) has been managing to get 2 of the cat's claws clipped. Probably take me a month to get the rest done...

knowing that there's only one more sleep until I see the specialist

Saw the specialist today. Knee is pretty sore from a prod, poke and twist, but I've got an MRI on Monday and probably surgery pretty soon after  Another 6 months and hopefully I'll be pain free again

Turing my alarms off till the start of September ... ohhhh bliss!! no more 6.30 call - no 7am follow up ... hmmmm

Watch my little girl squirm her way across the room under her own steam for the first time.

Listening to Marvin Gaye - Let's get it on :)

Going to take a cold shower and listen to this dancing and nearly slipping. It's all good :)
