WHAT DID YOU GET FROM SANTA? :D

Like to take this oppurtunity to wish all members and guests a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year :thumbs:
 
I got the best present ever, we are going to Cuba on the 29th of this month, although another lens woud have been nice. Merry Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year. Thank you all for the help and support this year :wave:
 
Nothing for me this year, but to me every day is Christmas Day. Well, I got meself a new laptop back in June, then the D40 in July, then a brand new LCD telly in August, a new "knockabout camera" in the form of a Fuji S8000 in October and a replacement used car in November. Imagine if I waited and had all that in one go for today! :bonk:
Actually, I told a lie . . . my ladyfriend in Hackney has got me a new r/c helicopter! But I have to wait until January to pick it up. :nono: :shake: :bang: :D
 
Had a present yesterday, in the form of 3 numbers in the Irish Lottery, so looks like a new camera for the New Year.:D

I’m off to spend today with my mum later, and last night, a text from a friend at work, inviting me round for dinner on Boxing Day. :)
I think that is a real ‘present’, and a great gesture, for this time of year.

well i had a nice pair of james bond socks, but i've got to wait for my pressies until i get home on the 29th, as i'm stuck on a rig in the cold north sea until then, am hoping to have got a 5in1 reflector and the david noton dvd, can't wait!

I personally got a nice bottle of Scotch, some little photography related gadgets, and some money towards the D700 + MB-D10 + 24-70 F/2.8 combo that I bought a short while ago :D

Loving it!!!
 
Got a gift voucher for a falconry at Dalhousie Castle, looking forward to this and getting some good photos (I hope), assuming it's ok to take photos there, awaiting a email from them to confirm.
 
Santa spoiled me this year :)

Got a Set of elinchrom skyports, a right angle viewfinder and a remote timer trigger. I am over the moon :)

I got my new Fuji s100FS but I've had it a couple of weeks though I'm not supposed to use it until today ;)

Also the new Il Divo cd and lots of girlie stuff like makeup and smellies. :D

Edit; Oh! and my man still home for Christmas Yey!!! he's not going to Saudi until late January now!:woot:

Good morning and happy Christmas to all.
Santa's brought me my first proper camera - a Sony A200. Battery is on charge so in a few hours, I might be taking my first pics :D
But Santa has also brought me a bottle of Talisker (my favourite whiskey) and a bottle of Glenfiddich so in a few hours, the first pics might not be very good :shrug:
 
Will have to wait until I have finished work to find out what I have got... roll on 17:30

Santa ( The mother in law ) got me a nifty fifty and a TP strap and I will be getting a vivarium set-up and a chameleon in the next week or so from the better half.

I got an iPod touch from which I'm posting from now. I also got a manfratto tripod. Lucky boy I am!!!

D700 and 70-200 2.8vr

Self bought mind but opening family presents after lunch.

Absolutely loving the D700 with my 50mm 1.8 too indoors. May pop out today or tomorrow to try out the 70-200.

Now that's a Christmas pressie! :)

I'm chuffed to mintballs, I got a Bob Carlos Clarke book that's rather rare and took several months to track down apparently. Only problem is, it's a bit rude so I can't read it in front of the Mother in Law so it will have to wait till tomorrow. But then the best pressie is the time to appreciate it. :)
 
Im working today so I dont get my prezzies off family till tonight.
My missus gave me presents last night though, I got the book understanding exposure, a compact flash memory card, A pile of designer undies (sick of wearing asdas own hehe) some marvel comics stuff... which considering i`m a dc fan wasnt her best move :D

Now I just have to hope that my family took all the hints and got me the sony a200 camera otherwise this book and memory card are useless.
