2009
- Started to get used to my first DSLR, my Olympus E420 bought in Nov 08
- Realised that I quite enjoyed this photography lark

- One of my photos won a prize in a
TrustedReviews.com photo competition
- Then got a photo featured on
the BBC news website and then again in a different
TrustedReviews.com photo comp
- Had
a photo shortlisted in the Leicestershire Through A Lens photo comp
- Got rid of the Olympus and switched to a Canon 500D
- And promptly had
the first proper photo taken with it featured in another TrustedReviews photo comp!
- A friend of my wifes liked my work so much that she asked me to take some photos for her, 4 of which are now hanging on her walls in canvas form

- And a different colleague of hers liked my stuff so much she asked me to be the official photographer for a charity event she's running.
- Took some unofficial photos at my sisters wedding. Almost everybody preferred them to the official photographers...

- Went to the TP Convention and met some great people

- Realised that my photographic passion lies with landscapes and macro
- Although, after being terrified of shooting people, realised it's actually quite fun and invested in a set of studio lights in order to branch out into portraits.
- Then bought a 5D MarkII
2010
- Step things up a bit - start getting paid for photography
- Start advertising as a portrait photographer
- Maybe venture towards the dreaded weddings...
- ... but remember where the passion lies, so get up to the Lakes for some stunning landscapes
- Visit more of the UK - Skomer, Skye, coastal areas and get some shots to be proud of
- Enter more competitions in order to broaden my skillset
- Contribute more on here

- Try not to buy any more bodies for 12 months

- But remember to keep on enjoying it
