Hello everyone,
New to digital photography so this is a great site to hopefully learn..
I am in the process of creating a railway related online shop so that people can buy & download digital images from it for personal use.
My plan is to scan my collection of 35mm slides (2,000+) and then "edit" to improve etc. I then want to upload these images as "thumbs" to the site so that customers can view a decent image before purchase etc.
The existing scanned files are large so I understand that I will need to reduce their size when I upload to the site.
Question:- What is the best size / pixels etc (no knowledge on this at all) to resize and upload them so that they can be viewed comfortably, but when downloaded will be acceptable to the purchaser for printing (i.e. similar size / quality to the original)?
Please excuse my complete lack of knowledge on this but trying to learn.
Thanks in anticipation
