My bold.A haircut and beard trim always cheers me up for some reason. Slightly less wild man of Borneo now!
I had my haircut last Monday and said exactly that to "Clive". I've been going to him for years. He's winding down now and only works on a Monday so all the 'oldies' who have been with him for years go on Monday. His son has taken over those premises and runs two others in the county.
Anyway, he was surprised when I told him how much it cheers me up and gives me a real lift to have a hair cut and he was surprised. I don't let it grow long as that annoys me and I don't have a beard.
Why ? I've just Googled it.
"One of the significant benefits of getting a haircut is improved confidence. A good haircut can make us look and feel better and give us an extra boost of self-confidence. Another positive effect of regular haircuts is lowered stress and anxiety levels"
My wife tells me it takes a few years off me, too
