WCMUT....what cheered me up today

Watching two juvenile foxes up on their hind legs 'boxing' each other on our neighbour's drive...at 4.00am this morning. Their noise woke us up.

Finding out today that the IMF has $3,500,000 they want to send to me! How lucky is that?

Dave

For the same real return, I'll do it for 1/2 what they're asking...

I suppose the perpetrators making it sound as if an international organisation are keen to give me(or all the other thousands they have sent the email too) lots of money think it adds credence to their scam.
Years ago I got one that said Ban Ki-moon was taking a personal interest and had ordered that I be contacted so I could get my millions! Like beiing UN Secretary General wasn't enough to keep him busy.

WCMUT was a quick spin (basically just around an extended block) on a bike. Turned it over a couple of times to get some oil up to the top end and it started first prod. Using E5 seems to have avoided the problems that leaving a tank over winter can cause.

Promised my 90yo neighbour that I'd go with her to Worthing on the bus, arrived at the peir, which is the bus stop and the driver went straight past so we got an extra mystery tour to get back.
Lady got tired quite quickly and as we were quit a way from the bus stop for the original bus, we took a detour with a dfferent company back to Horsham and then our normal bus home.
I decisded I would get off at the top of the village and take stro, l down a footpath back home, rang the bel before the stop and .......................yep 2nd time in one day bus carried on, he did stopp a few yard from the stop, ,made me laugh

WCMUT?
Its been dry for a couple of days now, so 1st grass cut of the year, just to take the top off it.

As there are no frosts forecast for the foreseeable future, I repatriated the Bonsai's from their winter quarters,
bitter / sweet moment, sadly I think I may have been a bit slow this year, putting them away / sheltering them.
It looks like I may have lost a couple of Chinese Elms. And maybe an Acer also.
But it was a harsher than normal winter -12 at times.

We had a frost last night! Mrs Nod had to scrape her car at )6:30. Should have plugged it in last night so it was warm and defrosted... :ROFLMAO:

We had a frost last night!
So did I. But nights are looking to be above freezing for a while at least,
and the trees are above the so-called frost line. (3 feet).

Seeing the newTiger cubs for the first time at Chester zoo

That must have been a lovely experience. Years ago I was, rightly, against keeping animals in zoo ,imo, with money as the motive but these days many zoos are on the front line battling to save species and conditions are so much better. I just wish other parts of the world would see the error of their ways. Some zoos in Eastern Europe and Asia should be closed down.

We buy our tea online and have used the same company for a few years. Last week I orderd some loose tea and some tea bags but received two lots of tea bags.

I emailed the company saying I thought it would be a one off but thought I'd let them know and that I was happy to keep the tea bags.

I got an email yesterday apologising for the error and that they would resend the correct order free of charge in the next few days.

Staying dry all the way round and playing to my handicap. Did get damp walking up to the car though!

Agree zoos nowadays do a lot of work for conservation and the enclosures in all the UK zoos that I’ve seen have been excellent

Just finished replacing some cams in the gearbox on the UPVC door locks, works like new again :)

And.. I never lost anything in the gravel outside!

WCMUT?

Playing Apache all the way through on my recently bought Burns, without missing a note! ( It was quite slowly but hey-ho and all that!) Move over Hank! Or should it be "Move It"?

Just back from another night walk, we now have Little Owls paired up, they were playing 'leap frog' and 'piggy back' ;)

You mean one in front was broken down and the other one was giving it a jump start? ;)

More of a chuckle really, this was just posted on the local facebook hub,
Knowing the usual crowd that posts, I can't wait for the answers, this should be good :D

Don't forget to keep us updated!
Meanwhile, for those who enjoy a little science fiction humour, an excerpt from Eric Frank Russell's 1959 "Next of Kin"...

Trainee pilot: "I dived in and circumsised the world".
Examiner: "Could you explain exactly what you mean by that?"
Trainee Pilot: I got around it by short cuts".

I will but its all quiet so far, I'm surprised TBH.

Just brought to mind a long ago maths lesson and my friend talking about a circumcised circle (she meant circumscribed - she only had a couple of letters missing/in the wrong order)
In a class of teenage girls.............
Fortunately our maths teacher was one of the few with a sense of humour...............

I'd get banned from Facebook for asking which gender they were after...

The local council stated on Thursday that bin collections were not being made on Friday or Monday of the bank holiday and be collected on the next bin cycle in two weeks time.
I live in a very rural area of SW Scotland with small narrow roads hence the use of small single operator refuse trucks to collect from these remoter properties.

This morning I'm surprised to see a small refuse truck driving up the road towards the cottage, I wander out to see what it's about.
"I'm on the car parks and lay-by bin collecting run" says the driver, "and as I was passing, I nipped up to collect from my normal customers"

My faith in human society is restored .... large bottle of uisge beatha coming his way at Christmas

Nice to see, I live in the same part of the world but in a small town so we had the same. Luckily it was just the plastic and metal's bin that has to go a month between emptying I would hate to think what the waste bin would smell like after a month.

Ours should have been the "Green" bin, that's on a two week cycle. We don't generate a lot of waste and compost quite a lot of the remaining stuff so a pongy bin isn't an issue ... unless I've been cooking salmon and the skins don't half tiff after a couple of days.

WCMULN (last night)
Lurking in the village churchyard being entertained by bats (honest guv.........)
WCMUT
Running through some of the sound files. There's a whole other world out there that most people just don't notice
